This just serves as a reminder of what Elijah and Marcel's relationship could've been like
I think it shows the respect he had for Elijah when he sacrificed himself beside his brother. Marcel and Elijah had such a crap relationship because Elijah sacrificed being a mentor to Marcel because he wanted Klaus to find redemption. He never forgave Elijah for that but I think when he saw that Elijah sacrificed himself with his brother he knew that he saw underneath the so-called monster he thought Elijah was and having one of his suits I believe he was respecting the memory of Elijah. My only problem was do we know if the family did the same for Elijah? Did they also gather his ashes and lay him to rest? Because without Elijah Hope would have never been born. So did they gather his ashes quicker and then lay him to rest out in the bayou where he could be at peace with Hayley? Or what?

I have had enough about Klaus and Elijah to be honest. I loved them and I still do but I wish their characters just rest in peace... I mean this episode showed us that the mikaelson are Hope Rebekah Freya Kol Marcel Keelin Davina. Still Klaus and Elijah but this was Klaus' funeral... I don't get why everyone forgot about Hayley that literally raised Hope for 7 years all by herself? Why Klaus parent figure got so high up? I don't get it. She misses her father but she never mention her mother's beautiful personality...

Definitely agree on the Hayley thing, she doesn’t get enough credit and they always say Hope is more like Klaus but to me she’s Hayley all over again, even with her humanity off you can still see Hayley in her.

Marcellus is a good dude. I'm especially happy that Marcellus and Rebekah are married. They were made for each other.
I so want Rebekah and Freya to get their own show, the actors bring in so many fans just off themselves so if they were to add Kol and Marcel as well the viewers would be off the CHART. Rebekah and Freya are nothing different from Klaus and Elijah, we saw them two fight their enemies together for 5 years with the Mikaelson sister’s help ofc but i want to see Bex and Freya’s enemies and I want to see them destroy them together as family like Klaus and Elijah did/would do. We’ve never even see Rebekah’s personal back history and same for Freya tbh, their storylines always revolved around the full family and not themselves personally. Legacies writers should consider this to Claire and Riley, even if it’s a possibility they’ll say no it’s still best to ask and see! Imagine the storylines we would get from an Original Vampire and a 1000 year old Viking Witch, not to mention a MIKAELSON witch. I’m done ranting now😂

Ofc but regardless of seeing haley after death or not Elijah was going to go out with klaus because the show is at the end about klaus and Elijah’s brotherly bond above everything else, started with the two and ended with them as well, he died to hopefully be with klaus after death neither knew that klaus wouldn’t be at rest till hope was ok that happened after they had already killed each other

Honestly, I used to think that Marcel was a threat to the Mikaelsons because everybody knows his venom can kill an original and as we’ve seen in season 5, they managed to capture and farm his venom, and then josh died. But now I’ve started to see him as a part of the family.
He was always the part of family, no matter what marcel never tried to kill klaus and even when he was venomous, he bitten elijah because he thrown him of the bridge and kol used to behave in very bad way to marcel since the beginning.
Marcel is dangerous enough to officially be included in the fam of originals, before he was only just a vampire

This is what happened in this clip:
On a cement planter, Hope finds a small toy soldier. Marcel sits with his back to Hope, questioning if she wants it back. She retorts that if the price of that stupid toy is her humanity, then he can keep it. When Hope found it and gave it back to Marcel, he was in a pretty dark place, like she is now. He explains to her that the toy reminded him of a time when he wasn't. It still does. Hope deflects, telling him that he looks silly in a suit. Marcel accepts the compliment, as it was one of Elijah's old suits. Marcel brings back their point system to her attention, though Hope hasn't kept track of her points for a long time. Marcel, however, has been keeping them for her and he wanted to prove just how hard she's been on herself. How much the good outweighs the bad. He asks her to come back inside with him because their family needs to lay Klaus to rest. Hope explains that her father will never be able to rest until he knows that she's okay. Marcel takes that as meaning she knows that she's not okay. Hope would rather skip to the end of the morbid family reunion. Marcel makes her a deal. If she comes back with him, he'll give her ten points. If she earns those ten points, then Vincent will drop the spell that's keeping her here.

Which is too bad though. A conversation about Elijah between Marcel and Hope could've been interesting. Both of them should have very complicated feelings towards Elijah.
Elijah did spend a lot of time with Marcel in his early youth. Taught him how to play piano. They did work together multiple times. But he also turned his back on Marcel in his youth, often treated him like a kid (even as an adult) and, you know, ripped his heart out.
Elijah was basically the person who gave Hope her name. Elijah fought for Hope before her father ever did. And he clearly loved her. But he's also part of the reason her mother died.
They could have had a deep and interesting conversation about that, I feel like.

Nope. The coolest part of The Originals was that even though Klaus, Elijah, and Hayley are gone, the rest of the cast is very much capable with carrying on the show. Also, The Originals is long over. This show is Legacies.

@@a3zax007 And I have to respectfully disagree with your incorrect comment. The Originals focused on Klaus and Elijah along with Klaus’s enemies. We didn’t get to see any enemies that Freya, Kol, or Rebekah personally made, so the show would still be able to go on. Freya is over a thousand years old, and she was with Aunt Dahlia. With Aunt Dahlia out of the question, any enemies that the both of them made would want to attack Freya. Kol’s and Rebekah’s pasts were heavily obscured since Klaus and Elijah were the main people the flashbacks focused on. There are plenty of antagonists that the both of them could have made.

The storyline revolved around Klaus and Elijah, but the show as a whole revolved around all of the Mikaelsons and Marcel. That’s why the show would be able to go on. It’s not like The Vampire Diaries where the show revolved around Elena, so the show suffered when she was written off the last two seasons. If that were the case with The Originals then the show wouldn’t have made it past one season since three of the Mikaelson siblings, Kol, Freya, and Finn, were absent.

The Mikaelson clan need to get called out for Marcel/Rebekah's relationship 😂 Klaus was like "you're my son....she is my sister!" Rebekah was the adult and I understand she was broken emotionally, but she should have deaded that as soon as he said he'll marry her someday. I feel the viewers had conflicting emotions on Marcellus relationship with the family cause it was like.... Hmmm something doesn't feel right. This is why in season 3 x21 Marcel told Klaus in a way he preferred to be his brother. Imagine you're Klaus and at the time you can't have kids and you choose a child and they accept but you have to watch ..YOUR SISTER steal him day by day....as a lover.... I don't get how people didn't understand that point of view from Klaus. Davina is like Marcel daughter but his...uncle/ older brother is married to her and goes on & on, I forget...back then incest was a thing and so was.....younger age of consent ............. "The originals" was a Dark Shakespearean supernatural tale and the writing was excellent and the acting was top notch 🔥 everybody played their roles to perfection

Elijah once he learned compulsion and never had the Red Door Issue was very clean when he fed on people and chose unimportant members of society to feed on for food only to keep a low profile and tried to get his other Siblings to do the same Finn easily became even more cautionary and careful then Elijah though yeah.
I looked, and I really searched, but in all of the originals this is the only time they mention Elijah's name, if it's mentioned another time I didn't find it, and even then, that's why I will always be salty about this show. Elijah deserved better.
