- Tamiya’s designers have taken inspiration from its back catalog of iconic 2WD off-road buggies to bring fans of radio control the ALL-NEW BBX! This 1/10 R/C 2WD off-road buggy model features a combination of classic design and modern performance. Its brand-new chassis, reminiscent of 1980’s sand rail dune buggies, is a hybrid monocoque-roll cage and employs rear trailing arm suspension inspired by full-size UTV’s. The new body is designed by famed Japanese artist Atsushi Arino and utilizes a classic 1980’s inspired livery with retro wheels and tires to match!

I'm happy to see a good rc company not trying to upsell you on trash, they showed the car, the told us what it is, they didn't start blabbering on about "it can pull this many pounds blah blah blah." This is why I trust tamiya to make rc vehicles, just wish I had enough money to fill a shelf of all Tamiya.
What RC company does that upsell? Tamiya still tries to sell kits with Philips head screws and bushing for a lot more $$ than other similar RC. They are just banking on nostalgia and looks IMO. This one however does look pretty cool. I doubt we will be seeing many at ROAR.

@@GINGERale420 Strange, all the traxxas stuff iv had has been high quality and inexpensive with easy to find parts. I cant say iv seen an ad for them claiming anything their vehicles can not deliver. Usually just a top speed is all they claim that iv seen but I sure have not looked at all their ads. Traxxas is a lot better quality of pretty much everything compared to Tamiya IMO. Both still make lots of their really old kits witch I appreciate. I guess it depends on what you want your RC for though.

@@Paul__FC Iv had a few Traxxas kits some as old as 20 years and have not had a problem with the quality of any parts electronics included. Iv read a lot of reports of micro servo failures on the TRX4 but I guess I set min up just fine when I built the kit because they are still going strong. The only Tamia kit iv had didn't even come with bearing and cost as much as any comparable Traxxas, AE, or Losi kit at the time.
Reports on the BBX is they are more up to snuff and comparable to other RC buggy now so fingers crossed its decent and doesn't need a bunch of $$ poured in to it.
Love the old school looks, but with modern technology, components, and materials.

Its Tamiya, they are plastic...
Also look at them. Pretty hard to mold all those little fake bolts in to metal. No impossible probably but my money is on plastic either way.
@Pooshooter5k thanks for the reply.....is it durable to run on rough terrain or is it like a kit you will build to add to the collection cabinet....I'm new to Tamiya.....I do have hp Baja and a arrma basher monster truck.....but looking for something like this but wondering about the durability....
@@silentripper_lk IDK, they are not out yet. I hope they will hold up to some bashing. UA-cam reviewers are saying this kit feels a little better than most Tamiya. I too worry its another Tamiya shelf queen though.
