Great review and one that bucks the negative trend of others. There seems to be an attitude out there that we need super stacked high cushioned daily trainers. As an avid runner I am tending to buck this trend and go for the firmer cushion of traditional runners. I have the wind velociti 2 in my rotation currently from under armour and will most probably add this machina 3 to the mix as my daily mileage crusher. I love the velociti wind 2 for my up tempo stuff…really like the ua brand for the no frills stuff. It does look like ua might be discontinuing the machina line though so will have to act quick to get a pair before they completely disappear! I could be wrong but haven’t seen or heard of a machina 4 on the horizon at all…
I bought these trainers and I'm not sure if I should keep them. It's extremely comfortable. However, from the mid to the front section of the shoes, the sole thins out a bit too much. This makes it feel like you're leaning more towards your front to your toes, which isn't a nice feeling after long periods of time. Someone in the review section for Under Armour mentioned that they much prefer the Machina 2 to the Machina 3 as this issue is not present
I just bought a pair because I just cannot resist the Electro Pink version !! 😄 Hmm... looks like it does not have the best review in terms of it being a marathon running shoes. Thank goodness I am not a long distance runner. An occasional runner. So keep my fingers crossed that the shoe is good for my use. But my initial feel when I slipped my big foot into the shoe is that it fits comfortably and holds my heels well. I will try the bluetooth function and see how it can help me correct my walk and run.
Thanks for the video, but you didn't compare the 3 vs the 2. I was hoping you'd tell us if the new shoe is snappier despite not having the carbon plate, if the 3 is better for "shufflers" or "striders", etc. Also good if you could compare it to its nearest competitor, like the Magic Speed (or some other).
