Great review and one that bucks the negative trend of others. There seems to be an attitude out there that we need super stacked high cushioned daily trainers. As an avid runner I am tending to buck this trend and go for the firmer cushion of traditional runners. I have the wind velociti 2 in my rotation currently from under armour and will most probably add this machina 3 to the mix as my daily mileage crusher. I love the velociti wind 2 for my up tempo stuff…really like the ua brand for the no frills stuff. It does look like ua might be discontinuing the machina line though so will have to act quick to get a pair before they completely disappear! I could be wrong but haven’t seen or heard of a machina 4 on the horizon at all…

New balance running shoes just get the job done. None of that fancy tacky style. Just put them on and go for a run

Bought the Clifton 9s was told to size up as some brands i am an 8.5 others a 9 and even the online find your true size depending what 2 shoes i entered they were also saying 8.5 other times a 9. Ugh. My Cliftons came in (went with a 9 and may be too big. Have to add an insole to them but concerned 8.5 may be too short. And no local stores carry Hoka...i am very rural and needing a sturdy every day walk casual shoe as sketchers and nike have my knees burning after an hour not even running) I found Clifton hurt my knees a bit...more the back of the knee. Not sure if it is the heel squish of the shoe. So i just bought the bondi 8 in an 8.5 as it runs wider which I am a medium to narrow so I went with my normal size to see if it helps the knee. I also get planter's fasciatis occasionally. But also see what size actually does fit. I do have arthritis in both knees and a torn meniscus from a few years back. I am not a runner but based on shoe recommendations these are what the dr recommended. I do like the colors in the bondi...but it is more about the comfort. I can go to the grocery store and come home with the inner knee on fire and it lasts all night... having to ice it some days. So hopefully I'll find luck. Great review of the 2 my doc mentioned. Thank you.

I've just ordered this for 49 EUR on sale. I wonder how this treats me, compared to my Gel-Kayano 28, as well as the Gel-Glyde 3 (basically a reworked GT-2000 8 with a door-to-trail sole).

I just ordered this on a clearance sale for 50 EUR, wondering how this shoe is gonna treat me, compared to my Gel-Glyde 3 MX (basically a mesh knit-upper GT-2000 8 with a door-to-trail sole), and my Gel-Kayano 28, both of which have been good for me.
