  • In this video I install a 1.5" Teraflex Leveling Kit on this Jeep Gladiator. I do this with basic hand tools and a couple jacks and jack stands.

    I just added this kit to my new ‘23 Willys. Went the entire 1.5”.Good quality and well documented instructions. One thing to add, remove the brake line brackets at the lower spring buckets and use panel clip pliers and temporarily remove the clips for the 4x4 lead and ABS leads. This will give you plenty of axle drop and ensure you don’t damage the brake lines and leads. You will notice the reduction in caster angle (not sure how much it is affected). I’m adding the Mopar 2.5” kit lower control arms to dial it back in. Also, when you are finished the axle will have shifted to the drivers side by about 3/8s to 1/2”. Barely noticeable visually and I don’t detect any driving issues from it.

      Do you have a part number for the Mopar 2.5" lower control arm you are installing to dial the caster back in?

    Planning the kit for my '23 Willys, great vid!.. next is the 33" tires on bead locks and the metal bumpers w/winch.
    and a bunch of D rings 'cuz they look cool.. the best thing about the Jeep is what you can do to it.. almost an obligation.

    About to do the same on my JT Willys. I got an additional 1/2" spacer if I decide to do 2" up front. The reason for that is that I'm also installing the Rubicon metal bumper and a Warn winch. I'm afraid all that weight will make the 1.5" look like a 1" leveling. I also got geo correction brackets, longer sway bar links and an adjustable track bar. I want to dial the geometry back to factory specs.

      That's probably a good idea with the extra weight. Is the additional 1/2" spacer the same as the Terraflex one?

      The additional spacer is a .5" Teraflex spacer. I would install with the other .5" and 1.5".

    Hi ,is the tire to fender clearance the same front and rear? Thanks!

    • @jawindustries
      @jawindustries  10 місяців тому +1

      No. The front tire from the top center of the tire to top center of the fender is less than in the rear. I would need about another .5"-1" to make it the same.

    Is it the max tow package with the 4.10 ring and pinion/wide axles or just a sport? Nvm just had to watch the video lol

    • @jawindustries
      @jawindustries  10 місяців тому

      It's the max tow package with all the things that come in that package. And it's also a Sport, so no power windows or power locks like a Sport S

      @jawindustries ah yes. I have the exact same thing, mine is Sarge Green 2023. Manual locks ect windows ect. I really like it.

    Did you do wheel alignment?

    • @jawindustries
      @jawindustries  9 місяців тому

      Yes. After the spacers were installed, I took it into the dealer so they could check the alignment and make adjustments if necessary. It did feel a bit off to me when I drove it after the install.

    What size tires are they?

    • @jawindustries
      @jawindustries  10 місяців тому +1

      It’s the stock 31” tire. So 245/75R17

      Eventually I’m going 33”

      @@jawindustries me too man, I’m thinking a 33x12 on 17x9 with the level you just did. I think it’ll give a nice look without raising the truck too high. One thing I love about the gladiator is being able to reach over the bedsides to get to stuff in the bed. Reminds me of old rangers and s10s. Now trucks are so tall the only way you can get at stuff at the bed is through the tailgate. So annoying.

    • @jawindustries
      @jawindustries  10 місяців тому +1

      @rosswallace2969 That would work perfect. I might stick with my stock wheels and go with a 255/80r17 or go with some Mojave take-offs.

    How many inches did you gain from the skid plate, was it from 11 to 13 inches? Great video
