You should always have a bucket of clean water so that you can clean the items and can tell what they are right away. Also, coins that are in plastic casing like in this video could potentially be valuable antique coins. Therefor you should always handle them with much more care and clean them carefully. Any damage or scratches can decrease their value considerably, especially coins that have value as historical items or as collectible coins. It was really painful to see how carelessly those coins were treated. It is important that you learn more about treating them properly.
This drives me crazy about their videos, especially when he's dealing with anything that has paper in it like one of the safe boxes he pulled open that had letters and things in it he could easily have rinsed off the jewelry and letters in the water carefully and seen what they were instead of peeling them apart and ripping them; ruining things and breaking them.
I thought I was the only one freaking out over the way he handled the coins. They would have been in those cases to protect them as they would be collectibles. A shame they don't use more common sense. Can't watch any more of his videos. Just too upsetting.
Let this be a lesson to those involved here and anyone else thinking of taking on such an adventure. If you find coins stamps or anything else sealed in protective casings leave them in the casings! And be careful when you take them to get valued. There are a lot of shifty dealers out there who will try to give a deceitfully low valuation on such items, then they turn round and sell them for a mint!!!!

You could actually reduce the value of those coins by destroying the cases. First the case keep the coins in mint condition and you damage the coins when you throw them around. Why do you think they were in the safe in the first place.
Have to say the longer they stay in the water the more the damage, and never clean off coins found in the dirt or water with a toothbrush, you want to preserve the coin as much as possible a soak in warm water with dawn and a good rinse off is the only way to clean those coins. My poor numismatic heart. I cried when you started cracking the cases open for the coins, and even harder when you rubbed them with the towel. Sweet find though!
He could do with having a marine conservator with him or do some reading on marine conservation. Those coins are quite possible valuable and sunden exposures to oxygen may well have damaged them. I have some coins in casses like that and the cases are air tight.
Yeah for treasure hunters they sure treat treasure like crap. NEVER take them out of their protective cases and never start playing in the mud with them.
@Three Pathetic Felines Nothing to do with being "cry babies". It has everything to do with finding TREASURES. Some things STOP being TREASURES if you mishandled them or deface them or destroy the reason they are in cases. Why TREASURE HUNT, if the purpose is only to have fun? Go to the arcade and put the quarter in the game where you use a claw that picks up the furry bunny instead.
If left in the cases, and PROPERLY removed later, they would/could have been worth more. A lot of times, information about the Who, What, When, Where, Why and How Much/Many is in the case as well. Granted, a lot of the paper information could have been ruined. But the information contained on that paper, if readable, could have been copied and replaced.
As a coin collector this video about made me throw up. "here guys, everyone snap one open, it's coins" then goes to wipe them down with a rag, a few hit the ground.
THey were probably only worth face value to begin with. If they could snap them apart like that they weren't perfectly sealed meaning the cases were full of mud and junk already and if they were really worth something they would have had cases that were totally sealed from the elements and would have not snapped like that so crazy easy.
Plastic cases are to protect the coins, don't open them, any scratches, scuffs will reduce the value. Clean off the plastic- they're still shiney because they are protected, geddit?

Those coins are probably worth more than their face value. Once you saw the first one you probably should’ve left all of the other little boxes in tact because those are protective boxes to keep those coins from getting damaged. Live and learn
One of those guys in the reflective jackets took one of the coins off that you had broke open and I saw him
put it in his pocket. I never saw him return it. Whole new thing to the phrase, pocket find.
That's right I saw it too.
I was waiting for him to put it back but he put the coin in his pocket.
That man with that luminous coat.
These guys a fun to watch. Love it when you have the ladies with you too. Shows anyone can do this.
Toujours aussi impressionnant de retrouver ce genre de coffre et surtout comment est-il arrivé là ?
Bonne vidéo comme d'habitude 👍
Et merci pour la dédicace dans le train 🙂👍
The Show must go on..ohne Rücksicht auf Verluste oder das Eigentum anderer..claenen of the River is verry Good
For me it's just amazing you can casualy pull up a safe and no Police come to check it out.
I was thinking the same thing lol if it was me doing the swat team would of been on me lol
Some collectors coins have their authenticity in the case. I’m flabbergasted by the ignorance or inexperience that I’ve just seen.
This has taken up space rent free within my brain.
New sub here! I love watching you. Your excitement makes me smile lol.
Thanks for watching 👍
@@BondiTreasureHunter what about an update on teh coins, were they worth anything or no?
Was going to say about the cases but so many others beat me to it.
Why the hell would you break the protective cases 🤦♂️ and surely by now you must of thought to bring a bucket of clean water 🤦♂️
That safe was HUGE!!! I’m glad you at least got those coins after all that 😂🤣 love to watch
Your videos
You should have left the first ones found in the protective plastic case's because they might be valuable collectors coin's!
My heart was wrenched watching you crack cases open when they were preserving them! However great find!!!
You should have that Crain grab the others that are right there.
My poor numismatic heart. I cried when you started cracking the cases open for the coins, and even harder when you rubbed them with the towel. Sweet find though!
The crane operator took a coin😲🤔???
i would of too.
He must have forgotten he was being videoed lol, maybe that was his fee for the crane.
I looked at the comments just to see if anyone saw that... People man...
@@AtelierTulaiRazvan I think I saw him set it back on the rim of the safe...I'm sure he just wanted a closer look.
He can take what he wanted in my view. It cost him a few to help the guy out.
Yep I probably would have cleaned them each with the cases
He could do with having a marine conservator with him or do some reading on marine conservation. Those coins are quite possible valuable and sunden exposures to oxygen may well have damaged them. I have some coins in casses like that and the cases are air tight.
Oh my god it’s Dennis lmao 🤣
Your breaking the coins out of their protective case?
Yeah for treasure hunters they sure treat treasure like crap. NEVER take them out of their protective cases and never start playing in the mud with them.
@Three Pathetic Felines Nothing to do with being "cry babies". It has everything to do with finding TREASURES. Some things STOP being TREASURES if you mishandled them or deface them or destroy the reason they are in cases. Why TREASURE HUNT, if the purpose is only to have fun? Go to the arcade and put the quarter in the game where you use a claw that picks up the furry bunny instead.
Anyone else notice the trick driver pick up a coin then go back to the cabin of his truck 😂
I cant believe what u found in that safe
Mess around. Doing it the hard way! Instead of getting a torch or angle grinder! I'm Impressed! With the Post!
You’ve just devalued the coins by taking them out of their boxes nugget
Yeah by leaving them in that nasty looking Box wthey would be so much more worth
If they were in mint condition then yeah. The boxes are water and air tight.....
I cringed reading all the comment's crapping on about devaluation of already ruined coins in plastic cases.
Great job guys, hope the crane truck didn’t charge too much. Great find!!!
The driver grabbed one coin for himself...
You just break the covers open? More valuable when sealed, we're sure. Oh well.
I LOVE IT WHEN YOU GUYS GET TRUCKS !!
As a coin collector this video about made me throw up. "here guys, everyone snap one open, it's coins" then goes to wipe them down with a rag, a few hit the ground.
The guy is a good hearted soul. Give him a break. They are no good sitting on the bottom of a muddy canal anyway.
it's not about the coins or metal box for me...but how the their adventure goes... very exciting...that is why I alllllllwaysss watch'em...
I really like your videos. Good job on a great find.
Thanks for gettin the stuff outa the water, and if it's treasure its a plus for u!!🤩
sadly they lost the price when you opened them :(
Nah
THey were probably only worth face value to begin with. If they could snap them apart like that they weren't perfectly sealed meaning the cases were full of mud and junk already and if they were really worth something they would have had cases that were totally sealed from the elements and would have not snapped like that so crazy easy.
DUDE I REALLY HOPE YOU READ THESE COMMENTS!!
14:50 the guy on the right with the cup thunderdome steal the coin.
Commemorative coins in the display boxs great find shame the cases were broken
I wonder who is (or was) the owner of those coins. Maybe those coins were part of a collection.
I can't believe you broke the cases that made them mint condition. I almost cried.
Plastic cases are to protect the coins, don't open them, any scratches, scuffs will reduce the value. Clean off the plastic- they're still shiney because they are protected, geddit?
I wanted to cry when you kept breaking them open. They are sealed with numbers and the class rating. Beginner treasure hunters. 😂
Sounded like they were just commemorative coins.
