Recently, a contractor bulldozed a lot down our street. Our neighborhood is near downtown, and our city is coming up for its 200th anniversary! We always find bottles and other artifacts when digging on our property. I spoke to the contractor and he said he found hundreds of bottles and put the best of them in a pile and to take whatever I wanted. I walked out of there with about a dozen embossed 100+ year old bottles, a clay cream pot and a light bulb that survived, which I gave to a local electric supply store that collects old electrical related pieces. So thankful for the friendly contractor. It's so important to preserve these items. Thanks for the videos, I watch them whenever I can, keep up the great work. Glad you found your keys....now go get a copy made and hide them somewhere...😅
So glad you found your keys. I look forward to your videos and thank you for your kind words. That first marble you found was a old German made before WW2. Keep them coming I enjoy all the videos you and your family post
As you are thinking about recycling/upcycling the bottles that are broken top to bottom....that half bottle at 13:11 would make a great spoon rest, pencil holder, trinket tray, or something along those lines.
Whether it's creek walking, fossil & artifact hunting, bottle digging or metal detecting, I'm here for it all! Thank you for taking us along on your adventures 😄
love watching the videos. it has inspired me to enjoy the hobby more and using the tips and tricks you teach in your videos i have found many bottles. One of my favorites is a Hi-Roller from North Wilkesboro NC.
Hey Brandon aka Adventure Archaeology! WooHoo back in the water again! Been awhile waiting on some rain, so glad you have gotten some! I was so happy to see a Creek Hunting video! I love every video you put out, look for them every Friday! Thank you for sharing as always! 👍😃❤️
As someone who has lost keys, congrats on the recovery! Metal dectors are awesome. Found my keys on Topsail Island after they had fallen out of my bag.
Ah ! those metal detectors, they do have some handy uses apart from all the gold doubloons and pieces of eight lol. I enjoy the creek walks, I can’t get out at the moment and tagging along with you, Kyle et al keeps my spirits up.👍🏻 ❤
The water was beautiful in this video, wish I could have jumped through the screen. Thank you for sharing content I can watch if my kids are in the room!
Another good reason to have a metal detector... That water was super clear. Great video this morning, that was a good looking try me bottle. Have a great day
I tend to thumbs up and lurk… had to comment this time! I love the way you are so kind in your response to people (who are probably not even subscribed) that think they can decide what you’re going to video for us! Love your content!
My 4 kids (ages 9-17) and I watch your videos every night when we settle down before bed…watched many of them multiple times. We started over the summer…and have began to walk local creeks. We have found many things including old smoking pipes from an old mill. Such a cool hobby that we will have memories from as a family as they grow. I also show your videos to my 4th grade class. They bring. Me treasure they find in their yards and creeks now as well. Thanks so much!
Most of the dumps I look at are right along creeks and are loaded with marbles after good rains. They definitely make their way into the larger creeks during floods and that’s how they get there IMO.
@adventurearchaeology it's a very good one. They're called antique instead of vintage. Made on pontils by German craftsmen. They predate all American made marbles along with Bennington's and clay marbles.
Love your content it's great you're finding artifacts as well as cleaning up in nature. The creek you're in now is so beautiful and crystal clear it makes me want to go to the mountains glad you found your keys

Another great creek video, Brandon. I just started walking the riverbanks this year up here in Winnipeg (thanks to channels like this) and got featured on the news. Found a huge bottler's dump, many old embossed bricks and even a steamship wreck.
Enjoyed the creek walk, so thankful you found your keys. Without a metal detector odds would have been slim based on them being covered in the grass and weeds.
Indeed boys with slingshots. When I was a boy, we would buy marbles, as they were WAY cheaper than steel ball shot. We did not shoot bottles, but we sure did shoot the heck out of the trees, and the water and rocks as well. They make a really cool plop when hitting the water.
Yes exactly marbles are getting few and far between. I remember when I was a youngster I found marbles it seemed like often. When helping my grandma plant flowers I found them in the dirt more than twice and more than one. Walking down our alley we would find em, or like you in creeks and ditches. However not any more sadly. I guess it takes more than marbles to humor kids in these high tech times. Cheers. 😊
As a new amateur metal detectorist, finding keys was my best find so far. I understand the feeling. 🤣 Lot of good content in this video, thanks for that.
Always enjoy following along on your creek walks and wish we had them in our area. Here in central Florida along the east coast our creeks and streams have loads of silt and mud unless they are spring fed. Thanks for posting your adventures Brandon. Mike in sunny Florida
Your comment about broken bottles and marbles def hit home with me. I lived in Hawaii as a kid and my friends and located a bottle dump behind a bakery. We must've broken more than one hundred OK Baking Soda bottles with our slingshots! And yes, we used marbles as our ammo.
@@bonesstones6584 I see now how that might be confusing. I had watched the video and saw that Brandon had found the four marbles that day. I have wondered why his finding them was so special for a long time. I have sent in questions about them before but never received a response. I wondered if the glass used to make them came from the bottling companies or what. It was finally explained and several other viewers had similar stories. I never played with marbles or sling shots, but my Mother-in-law told me that back in her childhood she and her friends had and that where her family lived (middle of nowhere Texas) her father would hunt squirrels for dinner with a sling shot. I apologize for the confusion and the rambling response. I was just so excited to finally have an answer to my question I commented on the first comment I saw.
@sherylmiessner7267 - lol, no worries! I played with marbles as a kid living in Hawaii. I had received a metal detector for Christmas and while searching for "treasure" I discovered, by accident, that if I pulled the grass back from the edge of the sidewalk in front of our house, there were lots and lots of marbles, long lost by the kids who lived there long ago. I also discovered numerous coins just by pulling the grass away from the edge of the sidewalk. We lived on a military base (Fort Shafter, Oahu) and as a kid, I could go just about anywhere I wanted, for the most part...
Like to watch your videos. So informative and interesting. Whenever I come across a new one I watch it right away. Cannot do that myself so I watch others find all the good stuff. Thanks so much for sharing.
Glad you got your keys back! I’ve dropped important bolts or nuts in sand that I’ve been working above and they always seem to disappear instantly lol. Luckily I have a detector and a fishing magnet to get them back. Brandon yours is only one of about 4 channels that I always watch without fail. That’s out of dozens that I follow. Keep up the integrity that people respect you for!
It a empty feeling when you lose your only set of keys to something you need. That is a BIG win to get them back again Brandon. That is a hint and a half to get another set made up.
Next time i go back home to Huntsville , i am going to walk the creek that runs thru town. I can't say i ever remember anyone ever searching that creek.

Brandon, wonderful day on the river, great finds, including your keys. Thank you for taking the glass out👍👏😀
Good to see you in creek again!
Metal Detector for the win! I do prefer the creek walks, bottle digs over metal detecting videos. But watch them all. Thanks for the content.
Positively SWOONING over that third marble! What an amazing adventure today! That clear water also reveals the snakes better too I'd guess.
Same here👍
I love the bottles you find. But I have to admit that I’m here for the marbles.
I look forward to Fridays. You are very reliable.
Thanx for the marble opinions, because, yes, I've been one of those folks who did wonder!!!

A creek walk and metal detecting in the same video...
WIN!

You found a German handmade latticino marble!! Outrageous!! I have yet to even see a real one!!
Dang I had no clue it was a good one haha

I'm so glad you found your keys, Brandon! The Try Me and the marbles are awesome finds, the creek was so clear and beautiful!❤

Love the show and the bottles.
Great creek walk thanks
