If Bruno is going to do one thing, he's going to outdo himself on the track lol. Anderson too! When he came through with the vocals at the end along with Bruno, I was shook. As you said, once we get a live performance with the band, it's going to be MASSIVE.
Sounded just as good if not better than the studio version. That's crazy. I liked the switch up at the end. Sounded more 90s than 70s. Talented fellas

Yeah he's done tributes to legends like prince and amy winehouse at the grammys, he needs to do more of them.
That wasn’t “parody“ The looking directly into the camera, close-up of their faces and the camera angle I believe was paying homage to the 1950s and 60s Singers. The live performance is more of a 1970s vibe.

What's fkin insane to me is that their performance at the Grammys was sorta last minute. They had to ask if they could be squeezed in to perform! So they didn't have too much time to prepare and play instruments live and it was still PHENOMENAL!!!

Whilst I think the Grammy performances are cool, I think Abel made the right choice choosing the Super Bowl over this. He had a lot more creative freedom and a much bigger stage!

At this point, Im just scared of how high the expectations are for Silk Sonic's album. Like this one song is legitimately 10/10. The next drop shd be as good or better. I was also initially sad to not see the band. But then quickly realized they weren’t performing the album version, and that got me right back in. Anderson’s first verse was a really cool switch up. I wondered if it was too early to be departing from the original track patterns but this turned out great and it seems people loved it so who cares
Oh this album is definitely gonna be a 10/10. I’m so fckn excited
the thing that makes me happier about this collab is that is going to put Anderson Paak in the mainstream level he's been deserving for at least 4 years. He has the grammy's, he has the respect of his peers, but for whatever reason, he never been the potential superstar he could be IMO (I mean he's as talented as Bruno Mars). It's kinda like H.E.R. (But I feel Paak's music is more appealing to a broader audience).
It's a bit of a shame that this is his first top 10 billboard hit ever with the number of amazing songs he's done already.
But hey, Weekend needed from Arianna Grande and then Hills/Can't Feel My Face to skyrock his mainstream appeal.
I literally busted out laughing when you said you'd F*** the song up by stopping in shock over Bruno's vocals! Nice review! I've been adamant that this is LIVE except for the instruments of course and I've gotten slammed for it by those who think it's lipsynced. I have to admit that I really wanted them on their instruments like the video, but the good ol Motown choreography was sooo tasty!

All Bruno's performances are like that. Haven't seen enough Anderson Paak to know about his live performances but I hear his are good.
One of the best live vocal performances I've ever heard. I'm so impressed with Andy specifically. As a longtime fan I'm pleasantly surprised he can seriously hang with Bruno live.

I think the reason the band wasn’t there was because it was last minute. Apparently they weren’t listed to perform originally until Bruno asked the President of the Grammys to perform.
