    you don't need to push the jigsaw that hard, just let it do the work by itself. relax and focus on the line your cuts will be much better.

    Don't force the jigsaw, just feel it, no need to rush anything, peace boys x

      A little surprised no one lost a finger during all this.

    I felt that jigsaw on the 2x4 huhu I shouldve bought a circle saw

    • @thetinkerers

      at the time, my dad thought circular saws were too dangerous and wouldn’t let me use one, though currently I do own one now.

    You did a TON of stuff right, and it's totally fine to cut 2x4s with a jig saw. You have to support the pice you're cutting, and let the "offcut" pice fall as you cut it. If you support the offcut, it will lunch the blade as you cut

    • @thetinkerers
      @thetinkerers  3 роки тому

      yeah, at the time the video was made, we didn’t have the right materials or tools to support things or cut well.

    Cutting a 2×4 with a jigsaw is like painting a house with a marker.
    Get yourself a chop saw or a circular saw.

    I'm not hater, but this could have been made better. You should have connected legs at the bottom, this is so wobbly and not stable. Great for your years, keep up man 💪🏼

    • @thetinkerers
      @thetinkerers  3 роки тому +1

      yeah, definitely could have. at the time we were all bad at designing and building but I’d like to think now we’ve improved.

      my dad wanted a weird design that was able to be folded up and stored, but oddly, it has never been folded since.
