Hooked up the wagon to the baler hopped on the fender with the farmer while he filled up the wagon ! Then he told me to take the Massey down the hill and go to the shed and BRING THE 1468 TO THE TOP OF THE HILL AND PULL THE WAGON DOWN WITH THAT 😊😊😊😊😊😅
We sure have had some GREAT weather for making hay!! The rain has stayed away and that means you can make hay every day. NOW we NEED RAIN!! It is getting too dry. If anyone knows a good rain dance or has a special rain prayer NOW is the time to us it!! Hoping it rains soon!! Thanks 😢.
Put Mason on more share the camera with other tractor drivers on the hay cutting days we get to see more of the farm and see their point of view also it will make better videos
My cousin told me this. Dad planted sorghum , it rained just rite. It got 18 ft tall. Dad took his a John deere and 1 row chopper and wagon. The a did not have enough guts to do the job. They wound the a up wide open , hooked a chain to the a pulled it across the field with another tractor. Chopped the whole patch of feed. I think this happen in the 50's , about the time my uncle started milking cattle. Show this to your dad!
Great haying weather. Hopefully you get rain after first crop is done. If your chopper knives are sharp and the cutter bar is set right keeping the chopper full makes really nice chopped hay or corn silage. But everyone knows the limits the equipment can handle. God bless
I wish I was living close by when you need that extra help during haying or whenever. I'd be there with bells on! I worked on a dairy farm during two summer breaks in high school and university, in Deep Creek, British Columbia, Canada and watching your videos makes me very nostalgic for it
Very very interesting way of doing a pile with leftover silage !! Being an old shopper Operator, but not with that kind of ground sloping makes me nervous😂. You sure just don’t unhook your wagon anywhere. Thanks man.
How’s that new Pequea tedder working for you? I’m in the same boat as you last year. Our Rossi tedder had a failure and I’m looking hard at the Pequea.
the slops are fine if you think of what you are doing , we had lots of hilly land , years ago we used 2WD tractors for this work as you must have too but 4WD makes it so much easier and safer , its great when you get a days chopping like that where it just goes like clockwork , hopefully you last bit goes the same way
Nice to get that hay under cover before rain. I'm interested to see how you harvest hay without the Oliver. I imagine the M will have a little more chores to do? Did Mason ever find the pin for the discbine?
My nerves couldn't handle those hills with a loaded wagon being in a chain behind the tractor and chopper. I bet that makes for an interesting ride if the field gets damp. We used to run a Field Queen self propelled chopper towing a Dump Chief side dumper wagon. The Queen had a transmission drive motor hose explode while climbing out of a valley, and I promise you, that makes for some ruined underwear. Luckily the brakes held good enough to ease it back down the hill.
With your terrain, you definitely need a tractor with front assist and plenty of weight and power to safely handle the chopper and a loaded ensilage wagon. Glad you're off and running on first cut!!!
hi nice hay crop you feed this out to the cows and how much hay you cut, where is this farm , lots of hills there on the field , corn planted already thanks.
Awesome the ole 1066 to woo hoo the deers look nice to but I am a red guy what can I say so it’s ok to cover up the old feed ? We have always made wet hay then tubed them in a line
For only being about 2 hours away from you, we have so much different terrain. Here we are pretty much flat fields. I don't know how you farm those hills. Very cool looking farm though, keep up the good work!
How come you don’t leave the windrow sit for a day or two so to get a good wilt? We used to do that with grass silage when we put up silage in a bunker.
You mentioned in a video you were looking for a new disc bine Check out Kip Siegler Farming he dairy farms has mostly John Deere tractors He liked the first one so well he bought second one just like it Great videos
I miss the Oliver out there doing something to help out. I know he's down and getting old, and the JD's are new and strong and exciting and wired and fast, but I still miss the old Oliver for some reason. I don't feel you've given up on him, but he has special needs that take time. Fingers crossed he makes a comeback!
I don't see how your nutritionist is ever able to balance a ration for your herd. The way you mix different silages together your cows never get the same ration two days in a row. So much for consistence.

I can remember a BIG HILL LIKE THAT COMING UP TO A FIELD OF ALFALFA!! I PULLED THE BEST WAGON UP WITH THE 81 MASSEY !! FIRST GEAR FULL THROTTLE !!!
Put a red tractor on the front of the wagon and it will pull full wagons out of there
Good looking hay! Another great video...
Everyone working hard daily , stay safe , have fun !
Nice sun set
Awesome video. Love watching your boy. Great Job.

We were dry almost all of my here in the Catskills. Seemed to go the other way now. Hopefully you guys get rain soon
Great video. Still amazed by the hills
Always liked hay season, chopping and baling. Always liked the sound of the chopper. Next some rain to get the crop growing again.
Great video, getting alot done. Stay safe!

Wow! I thought our hills were hilly. I bet it makes a lil interesting in field work?

Nice work gentlemen
The Gierok Family seem like really nice folks. And hardworking.
You have a beautiful farm and what awesome weather for making hay. Thanks for the great content. God bless
Challenging terrain but so beautiful. Thank you for sharing another day on the farm and bringing back great memories. Please stay safe, and God bless.
I know how u feel about hills I had to deal with it as well thank u for being so careful on the farm ❤

The silage piles are interesting and the way you all manage the silage piles you got it to a science. Thanks for sharing.

I have a Hesston 7655 side dump & I won’t take it on a hill, I’ve never seen brakes work on them old girls
I was 15 years old

Have you ever thought about looking into a merger im not sure but it may save more leaves on the plant basically less leaf loss on
Have you guys thought about adding any other equipment? Maybe a newer skidsteer?
I was just wondering the same thing, great question! Is Gierok Farms considering updating their skid steer?
Pěkná práce a stroje a krásná krajina👍👍👍. Hezký den 🇨🇿🚜🤗
hi nice hay crop you feed this out to the cows and how much hay you cut, where is this farm , lots of hills there on the field , corn planted already thanks.
Do y’all ever use the old Rex wagon?
I'm courious if ya can tell how 1st crop is doing cuz looks pretty good compared the weather we have had lately
Been there got the t-shirt been them situation s before
Another great video. How was the yield? Hope you got some rain down your way Saturday night.
I took hay out of a hole like that with 2 770 Oliver diesels, one hooked to the other! There's a story behind that!
Have to agree, you had a productive day. Who did the milking?
Ive been on a few roadways like that haulin wood in trailers and pickups but never with anything like that........awesome video.
Awesome the ole 1066 to woo hoo the deers look nice to but I am a red guy what can I say so it’s ok to cover up the old feed ? We have always made wet hay then tubed them in a line
I am surprised you do not run a double rake system.
Love silage season

What time do you start milking cows
Was wondering who milked the cows?
@@paulmartin8784 are asking who else has milked cows
What is it that you are adding to the hay?
What is the applicator bin on the chopper for?
see ya got ametal stop on the chopper. that ever go off?
How come you don’t leave the windrow sit for a day or two so to get a good wilt? We used to do that with grass silage when we put up silage in a bunker.
Do you run fluid in your fwd tractors?

Do you guys use a merger at all ?
Just a suggestion
what happen to the Oliver??? Haven't seen her as she usually rakes hay.
What time do you milk?
Once they said 7.
Nice work office want to trade?

I thought the same thing last season, but it must work for them.
@@joesteck6631 No one seems to talk about milk production>
Always a great feeling to get the first cut going.
