I don't know if you're aware, but there is a pretty active community on Discord. Can't paste links in youtube comments, but if you search it I'm sure you'l have fun.
This game is what i call a true successor to the wipeout series. For me no other game has come close to wipeout with the feel, look, and gameplay except redout.
Rid Z wipeout tracks are a lot tighter though and require a lot of hard turns and twitch reactions on higher speed difficulties. Redout has a bit more stretched out track design.
This is more like F-Zero than WipEout. Sure, the tilting mechanics are there, but the tracks are wide and topsy turvy as hell, unlike WipEout with the tight tracks.
DAMN ! This game has certainly required Amazing programming Skills !! When the ship is in the air, the bass get down, and when back on track, it gets up again... Damn ! damn !
Jesuscurrrrrrrrristopherson! Talk about being in the zone. This title escaped me somehow and I just got it. Was a huge F-zero fan way back then this is crazy fun!
Man, LOVING your videos! You need to get into Trackmania Turbo too.... I'm sure you'll PWN that game! Also, you REALLY deserve much more subscribers :) :)
so frigin glad this is comming out on the xbox one at the end of the month :D i cant wait to zoom around the track, this game is fast but ill master it like i did the wipeout games and yes all of them ^_^
I don't use it on Europa at all, but there's maybe 2 or 3 corners in the game where I have to use them. I've used Sulha ships on other race tracks, though not sure if you mean on Europa or not.
It'll take practice yea, but an Xbox controller is what I use as well if that helps. Though if you're having trouble, really practice the strafing mechanic, it's the most important thing to learn.
+Joltout I played this quite a bit, and I really enjoy it, however I use a keyboard (since it's all I have xD) So it makes it difficult. But honestly I don't find the game too hard once you get used to it, I even wish there was a faster track with like 150% speed Lol. But I wanted to ask if you had any tips on getting good times on Europa Surface Sprint? Like that last turn where you drift through the air to skip the slow turn. I've done that since I first played the track, but I can't seem to get it right, and I feel like there might be some more places you could skip a little. And one more question: What ship do you think is the overall fastest fully upgraded, and which powerups do you prefer?
Quite a few difficult questions there lol O_o I'm at the point where it doesn't feel fast or challenging enough either so I'm sure it's safe to say we're not alone there lol (which is why I want the devs to give the AI their power ups back). Surface sprint took me quite a bit to figure out, so my main tip would be to just practice as much as u can on it. The class 3 pure time trial event in the campaign on Surface Sprint really threw me into the deep end there when it first came out, but what I did for fun after I got gold in that event (which took me way too long) was to go into class 4 custom matches against 11 AI (as i tend to do a lot) with power ups on, set the laps to 8 and try to beat 5 minutes total race time while lapping them all. After that, it's one of my favourite tracks and I regularly just goof off on it. As for fastest ship, depends. Quite frankly, as long as you can avoid the walls and take turbo boost as ur active, any ship is a beast speed wise from my experience. Though my favourite ship has to be the Dragoon. The pacing its energy has coupled with its acceleration, handling and looks just resonate well with me. I'd say its a personal preference more than a black and white choice. Though if we have to talk pure speed, Asera. Haven't broken my top speed record yet, and that was with a Nobunaga turbo boost down the first jump on Magmatic chamber.
Do you have any general tips for beginners? I find myself pinballing between walls a lot when taking corners; either not turning enough and grinding against the wall or over correcting. I've had limited success with strafing because my speed decreases drastically going into the turn I immediately get overtaken coming out. I've tried taking Magnetic Grip passive, but while the handling improves massively I usually get creamed by people running with Augment Propeller.
Depending on the track, mS or AP can be the better passive and some even OeT. But keep practicing strafing, it's the most important mechanic of the game by far and sometimes it's faster to hit a wall than to do a perfect lap. Joining the discord can help out a lot as well, since plenty of people there help out each other in time trials and such as well which also really helped me get better at the game for sure!
OK,OK ok as a Wipeout fan i am interested, nothing has come so close, hopefully this gets ported to the PS4 after the Wipeout Omega collection has satisfied the hunger.
It's due to release on the PS4 (and Xbox one) on the 29th of August in NA and 31st in EU. Not sure about elsewhere but, it's probably around the same time frame
why isnt wipeout this fast and wide?? i tried playing hd fury and after an hour i just got so stressed at how the tracks are so damn narrow and annoying, and the starting speeds are so slow
KeyboardWrecker True! Both Wipeout and Redout are amazing in their own ways! Wipeout is more based on Playing time and skills practicing. While Redout is more based and focused on your Cognitive Reaction Speed, and more complex fast reflexes. Both amazing in their own way for sure!
I had to google it to find out what it was lol. From what I can tell, it's all in America, yea? I don't live there so I wouldn't be able to do it, nor do I think I'm good enough to even try to become a speed runner lol (some people have done insane shiz in Redout).
u play with a controller? i feel somewhat ok on keyboard but it seems like u have way more control on turns (if the difference is in hardware then im buying a fcking joystick lmao)
There are quite a few people who are literally at the top of the leaderboard that got there uses keyboards. I use a controller, but I'm not as good as them lol. That being said, just as many top tier players use controller as well, so honestly, it's all down to what you prefer, nothing more
Oh yea. This is only #5 out of 12 total zones, and boss tracks are 5 tracks glued together, so we currently have 60 tracks total and 12 bosses, thats excluding plat medals in career mode which themselves are hard enough to get at times
Just keep at it, it's definitely possible lol. Especially since I haven't broken my own record yet, and I set it on the first lap (which bugs me a little)
Man, developer of Redout here.
SURE YOU CAN FUC***G DRIVE IN OUR GAME.
ROCK ON
Thanks a lot! :D
You guys made a great game, hope to see more of it in the future!
mate, that looks mental
Michele Bertolini Sir, you fucking made ir, congratulations your game get the shit out of me, I'M PREPAREEED
I don't know if you're aware, but there is a pretty active community on Discord. Can't paste links in youtube comments, but if you search it I'm sure you'l have fun.
Not only my job... :D
Anyway, we dropped a new DLC just yesterday, get a look.
the timing with landing on the track and the music at 7:25 made my hair stand on end
No timing ^^ just an effect on the track, like Mario 64 when you swim ;)
Jo le rigolo no I think the timing was great too.
6:58 , the boost in time with the music gets me every time.
WOW. THIS GAME DESERVES AN AWARD! After watching this , I get it - it's all about speed. I will be making a purchase for Xbox one
This game is what i call a true successor to the wipeout series. For me no other game has come close to wipeout with the feel, look, and gameplay except redout.

You should try BallisticNG and Pacer out, they're pretty good successors imo
DAMN ! This game has certainly required Amazing programming Skills !! When the ship is in the air, the bass get down, and when back on track, it gets up again... Damn ! damn !
I thought nothing could ever match the sensation of F-Zero GX but this footage comes damn close. I wanna try this game now.
As far as I know, there's a free demo for the game on steam, so if you're unsure about buying it I'd say give that a go
DAMN and now i feel like a noob...
i have gotten a lot better at this game but it can get brutal sometimes especially in online
True speed burner O.O
Jesuscurrrrrrrrristopherson! Talk about being in the zone. This title escaped me somehow and I just got it. Was a huge F-zero fan way back then this is crazy fun!
Aint even gonna lie, that some of the best Drum and Bass i'v heard in a LONG TIME
What an insanely great track. Top gaming skills, as well!
With skills like those, you are a true speed demon!
Same goosebumps after 6 years in almost 2024. What a masterpiece.
*When the warp engines kick in*
something happens at 00:14 and it all goes insane super light speeds after that :D
You made this look so easy. I can't even stay on these tracks.
Wow.
This makes my Abruzzo Boss race look tame...
Sweat Heaven, its beautiful, such speed, that music, that perfect piloting, I love it
Man, LOVING your videos! You need to get into Trackmania Turbo too.... I'm sure you'll PWN that game! Also, you REALLY deserve much more subscribers :) :)
This is beautiful
чувак, это очень круто. Я прилип к экрану на час
mad skills! very nice.
This is the most insane racing game I have ever seen !
Incredible skill. Absolutely amazing.
What's amaizing...!
Man u r goooood!....
That was sick.
Just got the Light Speed Edition for PS4, this proves I made the right call in racing games.
so frigin glad this is comming out on the xbox one at the end of the month :D i cant wait to zoom around the track, this game is fast but ill master it like i did the wipeout games and yes all of them ^_^
*T H E J P E G E S T* even in hd
You're a wizard!
this guy is pretty good
I don't really get it how does he magically not touch the barriers :D nice one tho!
Thanks! I guess I just play this too much xD
Joltout I can't get even close to this kind of performance.
I love it!
Wow Jolty. So many views...
Europa feels so long ago now. But still good. Still good.
Damn Redout is beautiful
tripping balls dude...tripping balls (0_0)
this game looks amazing
this looks fucking mental!
"WATCH YOUR BACK!!!" oh man i might just get this game.
And I thought WipEout was fast...getting this for my PS4 now...
Damn dude your a beast
It's like the water realm of acceleracers
In my mind, I crashed about 9832749827349 times.
Now this is pod racing
Really satisfied
Just wish it had a sonic boom like Extreme G, really gave you a sense of speed!!!
As do I, but thankfully it's on their steam 'to-do' list so hopefully it's something we'll see in the future
Europa has the hardest courses thus far... do you end up using the brake button at all? would love to see you use the Sulha team vehicles ha!
I don't use it on Europa at all, but there's maybe 2 or 3 corners in the game where I have to use them. I've used Sulha ships on other race tracks, though not sure if you mean on Europa or not.
Joltout saw your video using Ifreet for the Alaska boss race.... the insane, hahahha
awesome :)
Crazy
3:56 WOAH! HOW THE HECK IS YOU GOING SO FAST!!😱
Loads of practice :P
This is like Sonic Unleashed, but with spaceships instead of hedgehogs.
Wait, this game has a boost ability? I had no idea. This game is very hard to figure out how to play. I'm just slamming into every wall.
dat europa tube is messing with me. always feel dizzy while passing through.
Wipeout meets F-Zero.
Looool music from trailer
This track feels like Atlantis from Aquaman
hey nice run. gonna start streaming this game soon so u can catch me on twitch. I speed run fzero gx and i love futuristic racers.
I just keep hitting the walls, how do you play with controller or keyboard?
Controller. It's far easier to strafe and turn I find.
looks like I need to plug my 360 controller, which I kept it aside for a long time. I find it difficult to control with it.
It'll take practice yea, but an Xbox controller is what I use as well if that helps. Though if you're having trouble, really practice the strafing mechanic, it's the most important thing to learn.

Perfect. Thank you for the info. :)
Ill be looking out for it.
Not sure if I should buy WipEout Omega Collection or this for my PS4 because this is HELLA FAST.
Both are great, but depends if you want a combat racer or a pure (or close as to) racer. Wipeout is combat, Redout is more pure
why isnt wipeout this fast and wide?? i tried playing hd fury and after an hour i just got so stressed at how the tracks are so damn narrow and annoying, and the starting speeds are so slow
KeyboardWrecker
True!

Both amazing in their own way for sure!
WipEout are known for their tight and technical tracks. This game is more like F-Zero track wise. If you're interested check out F-Zero GX.
Hello friend, can i play this game offline?(without psplus)
Was COLD STORAGE involved in this sound track?
you should play this at an AGDQ(Awsome Games Done Quick) event. that would be awesome
I had to google it to find out what it was lol. From what I can tell, it's all in America, yea? I don't live there so I wouldn't be able to do it, nor do I think I'm good enough to even try to become a speed runner lol (some people have done insane shiz in Redout).
Hey new pc is up and running redout full game... can I add you to my friends list??
Sure! Join the Redout Discord channel too, plenty of folks can help you out there if you need it, as well as scheduled multiplayer races each week
and I have to really strain to get a podium in Tier 3
y i see this just like a new Mute City?
What did you equip in this run? your going so fast, And staying so fast. I can barely even stay in those high speeds in the dragoon.
Turbo boost and Magnetic stabilizer. A rather slow set up ironically xD
This is what Extreme G could've been.
XGRA was pretty damn fun though. I spent so much time playing that gem :D
what controller scheme do you use?
I use an Xbox one controller and I haven't changed the scheme at all. I just plug it in and go.
Joltout Thanks for the reply. I just picked this up the other day. Thought I was decent. Then i watched this :D.
what upgrades are you using
My ships are fully upgraded and the power ups I used here were mS and turbo
u play with a controller? i feel somewhat ok on keyboard but it seems like u have way more control on turns (if the difference is in hardware then im buying a fcking joystick lmao)
There are quite a few people who are literally at the top of the leaderboard that got there uses keyboards. I use a controller, but I'm not as good as them lol. That being said, just as many top tier players use controller as well, so honestly, it's all down to what you prefer, nothing more
@@Joltout i see, thanks!
This needs to be 4k 60fps
are there harder courses then this? I use to be a major f-zero gx player and im looking for a racing game that can really put my limits to the test.
Oh yea. This is only #5 out of 12 total zones, and boss tracks are 5 tracks glued together, so we currently have 60 tracks total and 12 bosses, thats excluding plat medals in career mode which themselves are hard enough to get at times
idk, im thinkin of gettin that fast racing neo for the switch. however this game is for the pc wich is wat i prefer...... hmm....
@@murlocmaster6192 go with tha PC version
How long is this track? 50Km?
I actually think its double if not triple that length. No hard stats to go off of tho
what powerups were you using?
Turbo boost and Magnetic stabilizer
thought so.. and i still cant go as fast as you with the same ship and both speed upgrades
Just keep at it, it's definitely possible lol. Especially since I haven't broken my own record yet, and I set it on the first lap (which bugs me a little)
Classic RFactor UI, seriously, why do games continue doing flat UI like that?
Sonic would hardly keep up
I thinks I just sent you a invitation threw steam
Hold my flask morty time to thrash his score
너무어려워
Mute sound > play Infected Mushroom ! :D
How tf do u play this it makes me feel sick 🤢
so this is the game coming to console, honestly looks boring after a while, nothing worth 60$ or 30$
Too slow.
