Hello Peaky, the Copper tubular thing is a form of Immersion Heater Element, it has a Brass threaded Cap that fits into a Copper hot Water Cylinder, i have changed a few in the past, chuck it in yer Scrap.
Thanks for your info pointy 🤗
Thought it was that 😊
Water immersion heater element, Copper and Brass. You can see the thread where it screws into the tank. One connection is broken off.
Thanks for the identification
Looking forward to the Peaky’s perspective on rescuing Nigel’s cannon. You guys are all such great friends and happy for each other with your finds. Love me some Peaky’s!!!
Thanks Diane x
Love watching you guys, would love to magnet fish with you all, love the banter 😊xxx
Thanks Lisa 🤗
HMS Peaky comes into her own. So good to see all my favourite people working together for such a result
Thanks Terrie 🤗
Good one. By the way, that 'bobbin' is a driven pulley from a line-drive system as used in the cutlery works by the bridge (which people keep calling a 'mill'). A drive belt driven by a drive shaft above a work bench would loop round that pulley wheel to drive a piece of machinery.
Thank you, great info. 🤗
Congratulations Susie 👏
That buckle thing looks like the buckle that would clasp the shoulder part on the Scotsman’s kilt
Thanks Marie 🤗
I waited so long to see the cannon come out and then your video in the helping of the removal I sat beside the monitor waiting and I fell asleep but woke up 38 min too late...I waited so long I got sleepy but sure glad to watch as soon as I woke.
Thanks Jeanne 🤗
Looking good Steve uniform a clue
at 5mins tool Nigel found is a metal lathe cutting tool
I call it... The Peaky's Weekly Wheelie Good Giveaway.
When I see a horse shoe that large... I think of a draught horse with a knight on it. Throwing a shoe because the knight was too heavy. Lol
Wonderful video this week! Full of love, caring, helping one another ❤️ fantastic finds. Happy to see the cannon was recovered safely. Sorry about your camera being nicked 😢 well done all!!
Many thanks exxotikkat
@PeakyDippers, very welcome, I really enjoyed the history Marie, you always make it interesting and enjoyable.
All of you are the best. I love how you help each other in time of need. God bless you.
Thanks Rose 🤗
It was so excited to see both groups that are great friends to see y'all share such a historic find, together ❤️ 💖 just brought tears to my eyes and a warm feeling to my heart. Thank you for sharing this with us. From a fan from USA 🇺🇸 thank you❤
Thank you 🤗
was a great day so glad be part of the team welcome up north anytime.ive had a few marbles like that whilst doing archeology on manor house sites.loved the mudlark finds.
A great video, as usual, thankyou for my regular metaphorical dip into those murky waters… a few things: The clay ball is almost certainly a Mable, as a WWII brat we used to make them , in our own little fires, or on mum’s coal range….. The hammers are of great interest to me as a woodworker, I like to think of the original user, when? Who? And what for ? Clean them up for re-handling, put them to use again. I found old quarry hammers as a detectorist years ago… they are in a museum now…… Have you thought of approaching Guy’s Cliffe nr Warwick ? It belongs to the Masons in trust I think, they can be very approachable. The site has a thousand year history, even to being a children’s home, into the 1940s….The magnet fishing sites would have to be carefully selected, the still-pool always feels haunted to me…. A Pub/Restaurant is on one side of the site…..I’m in Kenilworth.
Thank you so much for the info. Could you possibly send me an email to discuss further. 👍😁
Nice mudlarking finds Glenn
Cheers for the editor
I started to cry when the cannon broke the water, the music and the footage! I was in tears for all of you.

That was an exciting day. Well done everyone.
Thanks Auntie Sue 🤗
at 4.59 where you say you think its a tool ..it looks like a parting off tool used on lathes
Great video, put the canon on front of the boat and rename the channel to Peaky Pirates lol
😂😂
Water Warriors. ❤

Some good gear there. If I lived in the UK I’d be coming to visit to see if I could acquire the big spanner for my workshop. Have a good one 👍🇦🇺

Thanks David 🤗
G'day Peakys, Steve the perfect pirate. If my girls give me back the 60k I lent them I'll come visit ❤❤ ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hi John 🤗
Hi Peaky's :) As an idea for your give away option You could repurpose cutlery found if it is possible by smelting it into discs which you can engrave perhaps ( Dipper currency ) as i am sure with the amount you find you can surely make quite a few :)
Excellent idea if I can get round to it
Great job guys! 🤘🏻💪🏻
Thanks Hooligan 🤗
Total a hols to do that when that is a very important part of your fantastic pasttime

To many people in one small place will cause catastrophe
And mayhem other than that hope you all pull out great finds😊😊😊😊😊
Magnificent video!! How in the world did these cannons ever get in the canal?
All part of the mystery Marie x
I think those hammer heads might be cobblers hammers.
Great video be safe
Thanks Verda 🤗
❤
Congratulations.
Did the cannon get a home in a museum or did you get to keep it?
It wasn't our cannon Kelly, it was us helping Northants retrieve theirs x
It has been kept by nigel , the museums don't seem interested in taking them in
❤❤❤❤
Hi Joanne 🤗
Hey guys!!
Did the boat crack when the cannon slid...?
No Mathew the boat was fine
Still think you should be called the peaky finders 😂
There is some people in this world that have no morals or a brain to save them selves and I am being kind to them on here because I would not like to see them sort of people in person I hate liers and thieves they need to get a life and stop taking from people that do great things in the world regards Helen
Thanks Helen x
Hi peakys
Hi May 🤗
I was born then 😊🙃
How about using the large spanner as an anchor for the boat. Looks like one was needed around the bridge
Thanks for aonther great video.❤
