The Brazillian women's volleyball team is in Macau from May 28 to June 2 to compete in the 2024 VNL before moving on to Hong Kong the week after June 11 to June 17. Maybe you can go support your team !
Thanks so much for your efforts and time in making the vlogs. I know making these vlogs is very time consuming. I really enjoy your vlogs of trip in China. They are informative and fun to watch. They so much better than those fake and disinformation from mainstream media.
I have been to china and just loved it. Went to Nanning. South china. Such a tropical country. They grow alsorts. It is amazing. So lovely. Love the Chinese people in their own country. They are so lovely and special. Beautiful
That's soo cool! Thank you guys for bringing your impressions of these awesome trips for us! That's really unique to see Portuguese culture in China, mixed with the Vegas atmosphere and all the splendor of the Capitalism. Crazy and very interesting!
This was super satisfying to watch - an almost carbon copy of my 2018 trip to Macau…watching your video I was able to retrace every step of mine. Two weeks into my Hong Kong trip, I decided to extend my trip for a further week in Macau. Checked myself into the Sheraton Hotel on the Cotai strip. A week later, after flying back home to Cape Town, I moved to Rio de Janeiro for almost two years. Miss those days of travelling like a wannabe be “rock star” 😂 my heart just longs “saudade” when watching these videos as every time I’m thinking “I was there”, “I walked there”, “I took a picture (selfie) there”
Macao, my family’s home town! My cousins that were born there do speak Portuguese but yes it’s not as common. Thanks for visiting and sharing. Haven’t been for years. Must make a visit soon. 🇲🇴
Thanks for sharing. I usually stop in Macao for a day and a night after going to Hong Kong, next week I will stay for two days and nights. Your video helps me think about some new areas to explore. Pleasant narration and easy to watch video.
We saw a Chinese opera while we were in Nanning. It really was so lovely. So special to be in china. It really is. They love all cultures of people. They so accepting of you going to their country. So they have to have pictures taken with you. Lol. Laughed so much in China that my face ached and hurt. I have never smiled so much. Love china
I never thought about visiting China until I watched this episode. Now Macau is definitely on my list of places to visit too! 😁 Thank you for such a great video-it really inspires people to explore places they might not have thought of

Love watching your videos! The Japan & China ones are super interesting! Thank you! On another note, I've suggested you travel to Bermuda before. Bermuda has a strong Portuguese history. Very interesting. Thanks again!
Thank you for sharing about Macau and her history, there’s just so much to explore, the mix of Portuguese and Chinese culture (a temple right next to a church, fusion of Portuguese and Chinese foods) , the contrast of old town buildings and the glamorous casinos, everything so compacted and concentrated in one small place. Macau is just such an unique place. Side note about the cannon aimed at the hotel, there’s “sayings” that the grand Lisboa was built deliberately to block off the attack of the cannon (since the cannon was built way before the hotel) according to ‘Feng Shui’ , which is why it’s built like a blade/ wall, and the ball shape underneath is the casino component of the hotel, also with branches pointing outwards lol
Welcome to Macau, China this weekend in great joy & peace to tours this remarkable places in Asia May of 2024❤❤❤Thanks you so much for this great video today’s in 2024❤❤❤
I remember I went to Macau during the covid, there no people on the street, see your video today made me think of the past days in Macau but a different perspective
Good to know, Macau is automonous & currency too different from China & unemployment is almost nill & no internet & visa restrictions. The video is short & sweet covering whole of Macau in 36 minutes. Good to see both of you look more energetic & pretty in Macau. Take care & appreciate your hard work & passion in making and sharing videos with us. Look forward to see Shanghai.
Tão interessante ver alguns prédios cuja a arquitetura temos em nosso Brasil. Excelente vídeo e sempre ótimo trabalho. Torcendo que vocês voltem ao Brasil! Tudo de bom para vocês e os seus.
Macau changed a lot since my last visit in 1999, just a few month before it was handed to China. It had already changed since my previous visit in 1997. In your video you missed the nicest garden in Macau, Lou Lim Ioc. Very pretty. Btw the name Macau comes from A-Ma Gao, that means the bay of godess A-Ma. Where the A-Ma temple is located.
Wow, I am shocked to see the opulent new Macau. When the latest list of the wealthiest places of the world came out, Macau was one of them, and I couldn't believe it. The Macau that I visited in 1998 was nothing like this. There are so much improvements. Thank you for the inspiring video.
Lived in Macau for 5 years working in Cotai. Too bad you didn't make the trip to Hong Kong on the ferry. Shanghai will be amazing as well. One of my favorite places. Great mix of old and new.
yeah originally we were only going to visit beijing on this trip in china since we had other plans in other countries but then we found out that we could go to macau or hong kong which would kind of "reset" our 144 hour free visa in china so decided to add more. We are more interested in hong kong but feel like we would want to spend more time there and not just a few days like here so we will do it properly in the future.
@@JumpingPlaces The number of things to see and do are a bit overwhelming in most of Asia. Really enjoyed my time there, pre-pandemic, but China is amazing. Enjoy a meal in Shanghai along the Bund at Lost Heaven.
Chains people's is very nice and and Chaina is awesome place to visit guys you should also add the prices of the hotels so that the people's in overseas know where is the cheapest place to stay
When you visit Shanghai there is a “water village” called Zhou Zuang in the delta a short distance away. Old canals with moon bridges, very picturesque, just like old China. Suzhou is only an hour away by bus or taxi.
As we are from England. We had to apply first to the Chinese embassy for a visa to get into china for the ten days we were there for. They sent out passports back and it had two years visa on our passport to go back to china. Which was good.... But then COVID happened.
China's territory is the third largest in the world. There are many famous scenic spots, There are 56 ethnic groups in China. If you have the opportunity, you can travel to Xinjiang and Tibet. There are no restrictions on foreigners. Only those who have been there will know how sacred the snow-capped mountains and lakes are.
Macau often gets compared to Las Vegas due to its gambling revenue dwarfing that of Las Vegas but that is where the similarities end. The food is much better in Macau (search yourself on Michelin Guide) but the shows are much better in Las Vegas. Most casinos in Macau are just baccarat and slots with a few other games shoved into the corner. It just depends on what you're into. The highlights for me when I went were the food, the bunjee jump, and oddly enough the jet boat from HK (cheap and upgrading is 100% worth it). The jet boat trip takes like an hour or so, goes ~60mph (96kph), and you get a lot of beautiful scenery along the way.

correction, Macao wasn't a Portuguese colony until 1887 when the weakened Qing dynasty was forced to sign the unfair Sino-Portuguese Treaty of Peking. before that, portugal leased it from the chinese government as a trading post, they had to pay an annual fee.
it wasn't a colony in a "traditional" sense. It was rented to the Portuguese, willingly by the Ming dynasty government since they had no use of it. It was leased to Portugal but no end date was specified.
