- Time to get puppies onto soft food. Week 4: What puppy food to use, how to mix it up and make sure it is not too hard. James and Tami introduce Phoebe's pups to their first food and make sure all the pups are eating safely. This should be a gradual transition to food and not a sudden change. You'll find out at when you can start switching puppies to food, what sort of formula to use and how to dilute it with water or goat's milk. Do NOT feed regular food that is not moist because puppies will choke on that.
Advice is for all dog breeds: Frenchies, Labrador Retrievers, German Shepherds, Poodles etc

My friends frenchie just gave birth to 7 pups naturally it was crazy. 3 white 2 blacks and 2 merles couldn't believed she pushed em all out

I did find Bill-Jak dog treats in an Oregon Walmart, but no food.
If you have a blender, like a ninja blender - you can grind up the dry kibble and store in a ziplock. I portion out the amt i need and add in the liquid to the consitency needed for the weaning stage. Little hack i learned :) I love all the cleaning supplies handy right there like yall have, and puppy pads!! I had a suprise frenchton litter and being prepaired is sooooo helpful! I think im going to switch to the paper plates. We are 1 week weaning and mom is nursing at night time. Poop has changed and so we are full force cleaning!! LOL Beautiful litter!!!

When you first transition them over how many times per day do you feed them and will you still allow them to feed off of mom?
2x a day. And mum at night for a week
I’m about ready to start my frenchies on mush. How many times a day? Do they get water now or where will they get their liquid. I’ve been bottle feeding my momma isn’t producing much milk. They are about to be 4 weeks. Thank you!

Have you ever had a dog go into a complete heart block on anesthesia? This is our first breeding with her but she’s previously had surgery x2 and been under anesthesia before. She didn’t cardia arrest and is recovering well. We’re waiting to hear more from the vet and probably seeing a cardiologist. Would this prevent you personally from a repeat breeding or breeding a puppy from her or is this a fluke and I might not see this ever again? Thank you
