What is traditional defers from place to place. Family structure isn't inherently traditional. For example in India , it was traditional for men to leave the family for years at end for religious purposes. Regardless how much he tries to argue communism is traditional, it isn't. Any concept that encourage equality on some levels or lack of hierarchy is inherently anti-traditional. You can argue that communism is conservative for some parts of the world like former communist nations but not so much for other countries. I disagree that anime pfp or any other cartoon pfp for that matter is somehow degenerate. it is a bit cringe though Though I do agree that we should embrace modernity. That's my opinion at least.
I don't think communism is traditional in an identical way to how it's commonly conceived. But it shouldn't shun way from it either. Traditions may not be of value on their own or in a vacuum, but if certain tradition persist through changes in the forces of production, I think this proves that they are fundamental and based in material reality. Communism isn't about forcibly eliminating these traditions, if certain traditions need to be overcome, it must happen naturally, and not through arbitrary legislation. And the woke phenomena that we have seen recently is anything but natural or grass roots, it's entirely top down. Came straight from the CIA and universities.
@@Tehz1359 I'm personally a don't fix what's not broken type of person. why do you consider the ideas that comes out of universities to be unnatural ? not exactly sure how it works in the west but where I come from there are really massive students organizations. they mostly protest against the privatization of education but I have seen them protesting against other things too. I wouldn't consider them to be unnatural. Students only join these organizations because they wants to. And most of these students are from rural backgrounds. Though I guess someone could argue about how they get their funding. Most of them are funded by communist parties.
