But even if all electricity came from coal, an electric car would still emit less CO2 and particulate matter per mile traveled than an ICE car. Power plants are very efficient. Car engines are not. The laws of thermodynamics do not favor small engines.

I have had GTO's, Impala SS, Monte Carlo SS, 9 (working on #10) Corvettes, and MGB and and Austin Healey, a Trans AM as well as some other high performance cars. Electric cars are not the future, especially not mine.. True Hybrids maybe (all electric with an I. C. E. generator & a good traveling range). There is no infrastructure to support EVs replacing all vehicles yet .. Barely in some big cities, everywhere else is super inconvenient. Just ask ford how many lightnings they've sold. No one wants a truck that can only tow a tiny trailer 60 miles & might take hours to charge if you don't go to the right one + costs 2x more. Screw all of that
