Amazing machine. I finally got it and I use it for a small coffee shop next to another semi automatic commercial machine. It is really easy to use and the results for espressos and milk drinks are very nice. They are equal or I have to same maybe better than the big commercial machine I have. Very nice
BrevilleNZ I do love the Black sesame finish, it will fit my kitchen well. This machine does look very impressive and I used to use the commercial machines myself however I do want to try this milk steam wand, I was hoping the pressure was variable and self controlled as on a commercial machine though I guess if it works as I want it automatically it wouldn't be an issue. The thing is I was known for being very good at making quality coffee but I don't drink it myself because of issues with my heart but I want to make coffee for my family as they all love quality coffee and personally I loved using the steam wand to froth my milk for really nice hot chocolates, can't beat well frothed hot milk and a quality high pressure controllable steam wand is rare on a non commercial coffee machine. Perhaps this is the right one for me 😋 btw, I do love the smell particularly of hazel nut coffee.
*This replaced a smaller Keurig that I owned for 6 years **MyBest.Kitchen** I wanted the convenience of the water receptacle and while this unit is much larger than the previous one, I'm very happy with my purchase. The only downside to this larger model is having to move it from under the cabinets to place the pod and refill it. I was able to rectify this by purchasing glide mats for small appliances. Now, it's perfect!*
Hi Phil, Thank you for the awesome videos and your passion to engineer top of the line products! Can you please share your insight on the following two scenarios: 1) Breville Oracle BES980XL, Retail $2000. 2) Breville Dual-Boiler BES920XL + Breville BCG820BSSXL (Pro Grinder) ($1500) I understand that #1 is a compact setup, and#2 will take up more space. Now, assuming you prefer your grinder to be separate, what are you getting with #1 which you are not getting in #2? The only differences I understand are: 1) Automatic tamp (would be super nice to have) 2) Temperature control (useful, but holding a thermometer in the milk could somewhat achieve this if you are willing to monitor it manually. 3) Americano Button (pesonally don't care for this) Is there any other difference, such as the specs of the boiler? Additionally, Do you plan to add feature #1 and #2 to the dual boiler? Regards, Sudhir
Just goes to show how slowly the industry is at making new coffee machines. The Barista Touch Impress is great but i feel like we could have had it like at least 5 years ago. Meanwhile soundbars are moving at the speed of light with improvements.
I have this machine and after six weeks I still can’t get the settings right for the two cup . I get 6 seconds of flow from “pre infusion” and then it stops. If I push two cup button again it just keeps pouring. So, an expensive machine and I have to make two z single cups (which it does perfectly)
What's the difference between 980TL and 980XL? It seems like same thing. How many grams of coffee for one pot? I never use coffee machine. Want to learn. TQ
would you say this machine is suitable for a coffee shop where under 50 coffee sell a day? secondly does this machine got another model comes with 2 group?
Hi there, yes it would be absolutely suitable for a Coffee Shop, however please be aware that our warranty on all Breville products are only for domestic use only. If you are using any of our products in a commercial environment, the warranty will be 3months. If you go into a Harvey Norman store in NZ you will be able to get a demonstration of how the machine works and possibly even get to have a play yourself. Unfortunately we do not do a machine with a 2-group head. Thank you.

Same 😢 I assume you’ve figured it out now?
Nice video, nice machine. Can I really use this nice machine for a small coffee shop to get a very good espresso, cappuccinos and lattes? Thank you

I bought one and used it for a month recently, and it stopped turning on. What do I do? The problem is I brought the machine to HK...
Please phone the Breville NZ customer services team on freephone 0800 273 845 and they will be able to assist - thank you.
Can this machine be used to make a large cup of coffee...about 350ml cup?
Yes.
The hot water should really be put in the cup before the espresso for the long black as it helps keep the crema intact.
Too bad they are hiding the quality of the espresso by not using clear glasses. Too bad.
