Hands down the best video I have watched on operating this machine. I just bought it and ran into a few issues...pressure (grind too coarse)...for one. Excellent video. Can't wait to try my Breville again this morning. Sent your video to my husband because I want him to learn how to use it as well. Thanks so much. Watching in Nova Scotia, Canada.
Your feedback means a lot to me. Thank you so much for taking the time to write this, I really appreciate that. I wish you good luck on your Breville espresso journey ☕️. Cheers from California! 💫☀️🥥🌴
I'm so excited to share this review with you guys! I absolutely love this machine because it has exceeded my expectations, it’s a pretty elegant machine and it’s more than enough for my home. It’s also easy to use just has a learning curve that once you learn it you'll be the barista of your home. Hopefully this video will be your guide to get you started today. ☕
This a reminder for you to change the water filter after two months. So you set the number 2 months ahead. For example in the video I set mine to number 7 because we were in May the 5th month of the year so in July which is the 7th month I remembered to change it. You have to always check the number because the machine will not remind you to change the filter.
So helpful! I just bought this machine and had a few issues setting it up so I searched for set up videos and this video fixed the problem I was having and made the rest of the set up so easy!
Incredibly incredibly helpful as a new breville user! So excited to continue to experiment 🥰 love all the tips and tricks I learned from watching this video!
Very informative video. This is the first video that I watched to date, where you mentioned to froth the milk first before pulling your shot of espresso. I also like the detailed steps of the features and adjustments. Thank you!
This is our second K-Classic. We had our first one for many years, so when we had to replace it, we wanted nothing else but this exact ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf model. We use it for about three people everyday in the morning. The taste and quick brew is one of the reasons we like it so much. There are so many choices of brands of coffee that we would grab what was on sale and test the different brands from there. I would definitely recommend trying different brands of coffee to find the ones you like the most because there are brands that quite frankly taste horrible.
Thank you!!! When you're trying to do it on your own by trying to read the manual, but ended up over extracting it lol After watching your video, I realized I didn't use the dose trimming tool to take the excess out, hence, the over extraction. I ran it again and it worked perfectly. I did use a pre-ground coffee. I thought it was too fine, but good to know that it wasn't. Bought this to replace an Amazon brand that only lasted 1 year. I just hope it'll last more than 5 years 🤞
Thank you Rose! I have had a Solis Master 5000 since 2005.. It finally gave up the ghost.. I purchased one of these but haven't got it yet.. The secret to making an espresso machine last is the water you put in it.. I have religiously put RO water in mine.. It gets used every day.. The machine mechanics tell me the hard water will eventually kill the boiler and internals
Just know about this brand from another video and found this beginner's guide. So helpful and can not wait to get one for my house. Thanks for the tips.
You will change the grind settings per torrefaction level... Coarser for darkier roast and finer for lighter roast. It's fun to experiment roast level/grind size. Always move the grinder setting wheel while you grind.
Thank you for your demonstration, made a big difference to understanding my machine. Have shared to another who has the same one. It has made such a difference to the end product.
I'm so glad to come across this video. I also have the same coffee beans and machine. I love this beans! Could you share the grinder settings and coffee bean dosage? It would be really helpful for me. I've been struggling with an overly sour espresso extraction these days.
How do you get the pressure needle to stay in the gray area? Thanks I definitely needed this video. My machines arriving today and it’s my first machine. So am I answering my question? do you just have to make sure that it’s not too coarse not too fine and that when you push it down with a temp that it’s even then it should be in the middle of that area
Yes, extracting should stop without manual intervention. You can also dial in your own settings then in that case you can set it to whatever level you would like it to stop at.
I am curious if I can add just the weight of coffee I want in the hopper and grind just that? I have one of these 'on order' from the fat man and was hoping I can easily switch between caf and decaf? So plan is to weigh beans, dump in grinder, grind manually until done, tamp, shot. Possible on this machine?
Very details video. Thank you. Do you know how long this machine last? and any problems that you run into? I'd love to buy one but don't want to spend that much money for something that won't last long. Thanks
Hi, lovely video! I have been eyeing this particular Breville machine for awhile now. This machine is currently $750. Are there discount codes that people can use to be able to get it for$500? Thank you!
Elizabeth, I know the price went up like crazy. I wish I have any discount codes for you but unfortunately I don’t. I’m sorry! Hopefully they put it on sale soon.
I saw some where machine vs appliance would be machine is repairable and last longer of course more expensive then appliance version. Would this be in the machine category or appliance?
@@RoseBaby I’m having soo much trouble with it.. I bought beans &I just can’t get the right pressure.. when I pull the shot it tastes soo sour &now when I take out the para filter the coffee is watery.. idk what I’m doing wrong
My machine's steam wand won't hold for 8 seconds. Every time when switched to standby after purging, then when return to steam, it seems to slow down and run out of steam. Any ideas how to fix?
Don’t get the hype for this thing. It makes the worst espresso, the pressure thing doesn’t work on mine, it makes alot of mess everywhere and is very loud. Not worth the $750.
Regarding the steam wand cleaning, wipe immediately with damp cloth and tip wand directly over drip tray, briefly set the dial to STEAM position. This will clear remaining milk from inside steam wand. It will not get hard and wand clear to use next time. This is VERY important to do.
If you press and release the shot buttons, it will pull at about 15 bar, with a pre infusion somewhere between 6 and 9 bar. But if you *hold down* the shot button for the entire duration of the shot, you can actually pull the whole shot at 9 bar, which I think has better results. Other great accessories, in priority order: 1. Scale. You want consistent input weight of coffee and output weight of espresso. Only way to do it is a scale. The grinder doesn't deliver consistent weights, particularly if you use the hopper and the coffee ages. 2. Naked portafilter. The baskets it comes with are actually fine, you just need a naked portafilter to see what is actually happening with your shots. 3. Dosing cup. Dosing directly into the portafilter is really messy on this machine, a dosing cup will help with the mess and can also help with clumping and distribution.
You literally skipped past the one thing I needed to see which was how to insert the bean hopper. I can’t get mine in and was hoping you might have showed how it works.
What a marvellous video. Thank you. I am 80 & bought my Barista Express a week ago. I look forward to experimenting with grind size etc: and enjoying a double espress very soon. Your demonstration will be a great help

Help!. I hope you read my comment. After watching this video I began to try and adjust my grind levels and grind amount. I tried so many level from courser to finner up, from more to less grind coffee but the pressure does not even go higher. What should I do?
It sounds to me like you are not locking the Portafilter all the way. When you try it next time, lock the Portafilter like you normally do then turn it to the right even more so the handle is not sticking straight out. I get better results with it a bit off to the side.
Best "how to " video for the barista express machine. Breville should have scooped this up. Thank You.

Unfortunelly the Grinder doesn't really works as shown. In fact, it almost doesn't work at all...
That’s really unfortunate. Try contacting the company and hopefully they can fix it or replace it if it’s defective.
How many times to use the ground coffee in espresso machine??
How do I adjust the pressure when I hit program button
Can I use coffee that’s already grinded?
Yes, just make sure you use the Dual Wall filter baskets if you are using pre-ground coffee.

When the espresso is swittched on, it pumps some hot water into the drip tray. Is this a normal function?
My Bambino stops working when water gets to a low level as a precaution. Why doesn’t this one do that?
Where did you get yours with discounted price please?
