Exactly, every scene that was inside the house was practical, and the scenes with the outside views of the house in space were made with a smaller scaled model of the house, with a CGI space effect on greenscreen. Pretty amazing indeed!

Since the astronaut is really future Walter, you’d think he’d have a more surprising reaction seeing Lisa unfrozen here. If you think about it, in the original timeline, that version of Lisa never unfroze. That means after Walter wished Danny away, Walter spent a long time trying to unfreeze her like that method he tried earlier. He probably spent a long time talking to his frozen sister like how Tom Hanks did with Wilson in Cast Away just to keep him sane. But I doubt he did that for 15 years because he would have gone to a space academy based on his outfit, dog tags, and knowledge of everything to train to be an astronaut. Overall this means he hasn’t seen his sister alive for 15 years. I think this would have happened instead… Lisa: Who the hell are you? Astronaut: Lisa. Oh my god (he walks over to her to hug her) You’re alive- (Lisa then blasts the fire extinguisher at him) Lisa: Keep away from me! And my brothers! Walter, call the police! Walter: We’re in space. We can’t. Lisa: What? Astronaut: Follow me. (They then see the Zorgons)
But Older Walter already knew that if Danny is alive then so was Lisa. And He did suffer more through the pain of losing Danny than Lisa. He didn't react when he saw Danny and so as Lisa
