Worth noting is that the quality of all of these small LED panels is sometimes a bit harsh and spotty. B&H carries the Airbox Macro inflatable softbox which fits all of these models. It gets the diffusion out off of the face of the light, giving you a nice soft single source with much gentler shadow edges and improved quality. Since it's inflatable, it doesn't weigh much and packs down flat or rolled up.
Thanks for the video. I bought the Z96 from B&H just recently but had my suspicions it was getting pretty long in the tooth in terms of it's technology and feel. Seeing your video is eight years ago, I'd say I was right. I'm still hopeful it'll help my UA-cam videos look somewhat better once I figure out how to use it properly. Thanks again for the video.
Oh dear The light output from 110V 100W incandescent bulbs is different from the light output of 240V 100W bulbs. Surprised me too. How about we use the standard measure, lumens? Then, we don't have to bother with whether its incandescent halogen, CFL, LED, fluorescent tube or something not invented yet.
TheTravelCrush I am sorry, we may have misunderstood your original question. These lights feature shoe mount options which most DSLR's, higher end mirrorless cameras and pro level camcorders. Please explain in more detail what you would like to do and I'll see what options are available for you. >Chuck
Still using a 30 $ China LED video light, wich is much cheaper and more versatile, than the video lights from the video :D It has a variable light temperature, is very thin and lightweight. Why spending some hunderds of dollars for such a simple thing?
In general, the more expensive options are more reliable, don’t flicker, have accurate color, and can have more power. That being said, if what you are using works, and you are happy with it, I don’t know that you would need something else. At the end of the day, theses are all just tools: use what works for you. *Christina* AskUA-cam@bhphoto.com
WupperVideo I agree. They are mostly all made in China. professionals are using the lower cost options too. If you choose the right one, they are EVERY bit as accurate and reliable. There is an old saying, you get what you pay for. If you think about it, that phrase is almost always used incorrectly. Yes, you get to take home what you pay for, thats literally what the words mean. But that phrase doesn't mean that more expensive is better. You also get what you overpay for. In todays world, there is much less reason to overpay. Do your homework and buy where quality and low price meet.
If you are shooting for hobby and not on commercial or anything on broadcast level, using cheap or even counterfeit items doesn't matter. But if you are a serious content creator ir professional, the CRI color rendering index is important. Cheap led product low index. Recommended is 85 and above. 90+will be excellent.
she sounds so professional and knowledgeable......i may buy all these products even though i came here to just learn, but she sold me
O
I wish you could add links to the products on the description, its easier than going back and forth through the video

What a great video! Thank you!
What about LED for older cameras like m y Polaroid 450? Would be nice to take photos indoors and not worry about the flash I don't have.
Great video. Very informative. Thanks!
what is the best light for camcoder while shooting concert footage ?
The CRI is also important. At least 85 and above. 90+ will be excellent.
what will be the best one for indoors and tungsten light on a dslr?
Very useful, thank you.
Not Wattage Output is important....it's a lumen
Lumen says how bright is your light, wattage just say what is power consumption

I'm sorry mount the light backwards where? I'm not very technical- does the light just connect onto your camera even if you're not using a DSLR? x

+TheTravelCrush Cold shoe connector hun!
No barn door attachments? I really wish manufacturers sold us what we want instead of trying to convince us to buy what they want to sell.
Bescor Video Lights - What is the manufacturer country?
Currently, country of origin is China.
Yeah, so very affordable you won't even tell us the price.

Don't mix NIMH rechargable batteries like that. You have 3 different brands/capacities in a single device.
