I did go back and tried it your way. By taking off the screw and slip on the black locking cap and put the screw back on. Works great just like you showed it did. Thanks.
If u don't mind me asking sir... *What do you do for a living? Your job?* You have so much knowledge across so many different fields. So many nice cars too lol :)
Good demonstration for installation. However I would like to point out that unless you, also replace the running daylight lights with LED, this is a bad option. Cause warm and cool don't work together, especially at entry time when both set of lights turning on, once you unlock the door at night with remote. Changing running daylights are easier as they are lamp replacement only with no need of additional attachments. Only problem: If you make a wrong choice of light bulb (The bigger ones as seen for door lights here, you will have problem to fit them inside the non-removable reflector compartment with no choice left but to increase the diameter (Destructive path that wont allow going back to stock OEM). One more thing. Currently Amazon has the newer version of these LED headlights that have smaller diameter of 23.5mm even for the heat sink and fan unit so they can fit with no need of any modification or trouble, but you did give a good explanation as to how to deal with the older (Currently significantly cheaper) versions. Additionally these newer headlamps are One Piece plug and play (No Ballast/Driver etc). Lastly some questions for you. If you still own your H2, how did the LED worked over the long period of time? Any excess heat, burning wires, melting etc (That are the common long term issues with cheap chines products)? Are they as bright as before? Any flickering? Can you change the focus as you need? My raised Hummer kills the car in front of me, when getting too close to them at night, behind the red light and just can't say sorry or no, I'm not using my high beams!) Thanks,

I put basic the same type of LED light in my 2005 H2 Hummer SUT. And I found out you could not put that black lock back on. But I notice you don't need it. The LED light fits in a certain way and then you twist down and it locks in place.
don't have a hummer but will apply your ideas to my vehicle .. thanks
Putting these bulbs in does not blind other drivers on the road? I see reviews on Amazon of people saying the LED put into a reflective housing causes it to be too bright for other cars on the road

I tried to have my lights replaced on a '08 Mercedes E series - bad mistake! even with experienced mechanics fitting them, eventually had issues (something the onboard electronics didn't like ) - had the original lights put back in and all's good.

If you are getting an error on your instrument panel then you need to add a resistor and it will fix the issue.

Some LED still requires resister which will Fix the Switchback LED error code or fast blinking issues related to the low current draw when using LED bulbs and upgrading the halogen bulbs.

I ordered the lights, little different style I think. I just untwisted the plastic to the light and then put the light plastic lock on. Really easy and works great!!! Thanks

high beam works, very nice and very bright, feel like driving a lexus :)
I installed these and love them but....On comeing vehicles are flashing thier highbeams at me...like i have mine on! When i put them on highbeam...they appear less brite (low Beam) anyone else have this issue? Can you do a video on mirrors not folding in?Very common with the H2
could be an orientation issue, I have explained on Hummer H3 the orientation it has to be straight/vertical and if you install them horizontally then oncoming traffic will have issues.

I got a question does it blind people
I am getting static on the radio since putting led head lights in .

I did. Radio works. It's it because new led headlights have small fan on them causing radio static. And do u have a cure

No, the "WIDIO" doesn't help me out. You don't show the beam pattern that they give, so this "wideo" is useless.
