- In this video we update a Hummer H2's old Bose stereo. We start with replacing the his older Kenwood radio with the new Kenwood Excelon DDx9903s. All the speakers get upgraded to Access by Focal. The doors get Road Kill sound deadening and Fast Rings. We add 2 Sony GS amps to power the new system. Lastly we a add a backup camera so he can see in the past. Thanks and enjoy

I am consistently amazed at the quality and attention to small details in your installs. I’ve worked a few different shops and your work is top notch. Thanks for the vids!
amp rack / crossover racks look CLEAN.
Thank you
Casey Friday lol
Now I find at least one reason to Live in Florida. Having these guys as your audio installer. No one in the world can do it any better.

Kaikona Caspino thank you
Love watching you guys work, great vids. I try to catch on to the techniques you use so I can exercise them in my own installs on my gti. Thank you so much! Please keep it up
liquidfun very cool, thank you
Very clean install, love the brackets and rack pre-work. It's the things that get the least seen but have the most effect when showing it off. Nice Job!
Thank you, I feel the same way
Looks like Dean really enjoyed demoing the h2 lol
They said knowledge is power; with that said these guys are totally awesome. I would love for them to upgrade my system in my H2
Man, that was a clean install. I have been in the high end residential and commercial Security and AV business for over twenty years and love seeing work like that. I am in Texas but seeing your work does it for me. I will call you and see what we can set up. My 2006 H2 is presently in surgery having a new engine installed with some upgrades of course. Next it will be the AV.
tdematteo01 sounds good, thank you.
VERY CLEAN PRO INSTALL!!
TAKE NOTES DIY PEOPLE!!!!
Dirty Business thank you

Nice a clean. Great job guys. I wish I had all that room to install. Fernando didn't even have to bend for the door speakers lol.
Kennnny77 thank you, yeah it did make that part a little easier
Awesome installation and explanation of your methods... Also gave me an idea on a build i have includes 2 component sets that i could not figure out where they would go.......

Thank you you for watching
Dean/Fernando, you guys take this trade to the next level. Appreciate the videos.
Thank you!
You guys do really clean work wish you were in Rhode Island
Greetings from Mexico, my friend!
A question...
How to remove the back cover of hummer h3? To hide the amplifier from the side walls
Very clean and impressive install. If I lived in the Tampa, FL area, you would be doing mine.
Sweet thank you
Very good video. Keep more of these "full system" installation videos coming.
Thank you we are trying to
Great work. Nice & clean install
Did the steering wheel switches work on the Kenwood radio? Done this conversion myself with the ASWC-1 Universal steering wheel control cable, works fine, but now the other switches on the steering wheel (to check odometer, select language, check oil service etc) doesn't work anymore, any chance you could tell me where to look to fix it?
When running two separate amps, do y’all typically run two hot wires front to back. Or just one with a splitter?
your installs are always great. Love watching.
fat catt 39 thank you
You have to do more install videos. One of my favorite channels
Chris Ferchau we are, it is a lot of work.
How many inches is the radio? I’m about to buy a new radio to upgrade my original so I don’t want something that doesn’t fit good in the dashboard I’d like to keep maximum original possible. Could you tell me witch one I would buy.
that was a very neat work ...i wanna thank u for the guidence u gave me on stereo settings on my chevy cruze .
Thank you glad we could help
im a little confused. Why did you make the harness when adding the crossovers? Did you guys use the stock speaker wires? and if you did, is it just bc it was cheaper? I thought for this type of install you would wanna go with thicker gauge speaker wires.
as always you have the best install videos!! i always learn something new in every video! wish i had the skills you have to fab things up.
Thank you, you are very kind.
how much is the cost to connect the hummer?
Bro i need to knw the proper settings for sony xm gs100 amplifier.
I got a pioneer 12 inch in a ported box hooked up.
Hey guys I was a 10 year installer myself (OCD like yourself....lol) just wanted to say you do great work!
Rich Burdick thank you very much
during the testing, what kind of eq display was that?
Pretty good work fellas im impressed
thanks for sharing my new friends, keep safe
How much did the build cost for the equipment and how much was labor? How many hours did it take? I need to upgrade my H2
chingon el video mis amigos son lo maximo 👍👌👌
loving the install vids
Thank you
will do thanks for the response
You guys do very nice work, very clean. BTW I have that same table saw.
Love that saw, it has a nice plastic cutting blade in it. Found out it is only good for plastic so this is the second one.
yes it I've built a lt1 I'm putting in it with a five speed just trying to get the inside done before I do the engine swap then it will go to paint and body to finish it up in a orange and black bowling ball swirl
Awesome clean install fellas. Thanks for the video
Brian Miles thanks for watching Brian
awsome i have h2 hummer i lke the usb set-up you did wish you guy where in phoenix Az!
Edward Castillo thank you,
Another gret install. My only recommendation: vacuum area where the amp rack gets secured before final placement.
What did you do with the factory Bose subwoofer?
this really motivatesme to get my hummer H2 where are you guys located loved the job you guys did here
Very clean install. Wish you were in southern California.
Alberto Garcia thank you. Nice place was there this past summer.

Kerri Holt thank you, we would love to help.
Five Star Car Stereo .

Thank you
Wat's the estimate round number for a install like this?
Really nice vids. Suoer informative
Outstanding install.
godzillasballs thank you
awesome installation!!
sensory defect drums thank you
Awesome job like always. Did you guys run new wires to all the speakers? Or did you feed the crossovers in the wires that were going into the old bose amp?
Absolutely magnificent!!!💪🏽🙏🏽👍🏾
you guys are awesome and watch as much as i can. i know this is an older video but had a question. my bro in law just found a custom 2008 hummer as a " fun vehicle" and wants to do a system it has a Bose system and wanted to know what harness you used to tie into the factory speakers for the components . i hate cutting factory harness and wanted to do the same if you could help. thank you keep up the awesome work . safe safe wit the storm and good luck with installer of the year definitely deserve it..
I want to do something like this how much would this cost on a 03 Hummer H2? Very clean setup professional work guys!!!👍
Good job,
What car radio have you installed?
what was the cost for all components and install?
nice job guys
Lolo123 Morales thank you, glad you liked it.
What do you use to keep the steering wheel control when installing a Kenwood to an 03 Hummer H2?
Look into a Pac RP5 or an iDatalink RR harness
If an installer used those hair thin copper coated wires for front component speakers, would you go through the trouble of replacing them, or is it fine, and that I wont hear the difference? (well, maybe you might, but should I if its a bit hassle in doing the wiring?)
The size of the wire is relevant to the power and distance. So how ton are we taking and is it really copper? More then likely you will not hear a different unless you are really trying to.
Five Star Car Stereo
Its going from under the right seat and up the floor to the dash and across on the left channel on a medium to large size SUV (Toy HLander). So its not that far, BUT, the neg wire is silver color and the pos wire is a copper color BUT when cutting you can see it is white/silver color inside. And they are super thin strands that makeup I think 16 or 14 guage. This the installer used.
Yeah your good, that will do the job. I know the stuff your talking about.
Pain in the ars to solder too,as the "hairs" stick out
I want to install the latest and greatest head unit on my 2009 Hummer h2 (UQX) I need help in creating the needed harnesses and adapter to make it plug and play install.
Would Kenwood DNX997XR fit in a 2009 Hummer H2?
👍 nice job
Very nice install.
What is your opinion about those Focal Access speakers ?
Nice job how many watts are you putting to each speaker I have that 3way access by Focal I'm putting 75 watts it doesn't seem to be enough any suggestions would be appreciated thanks
It was 80 watts X 4. For a 3 way set I would try for 110 to 125 watts. Mainly I would want the more power to push though the crossover.
Thank you great input wanted to use the 3way in my Touareg don't know if the midrange will fit in the factory location
Yeah that may be tight. Time to upgrade to the K2's so you can use the 3". 😀
what type of materia you use to screw the amps in........ were can you find all this equipment like good cables the terminal rubbers (red and black)
carlos urrutia it is ABS plastic and heat shrink for the wire. The plastic can usually be found at plastic wholesalers, Amazon, and even some Home Depot's. We get the heat shrink from WireCare.com, Amazon also sells it.
Five Star Car Stereo thanks that help alot keep it up with good videos i just subcribe but i been watching your videos all day it helps alot and amswers alot of my questions
carlos urrutia thank you very much
Just curious from soup to nuts what is the cost of a system like this and labor? BTW very outstanding job.
great vids..what is that tool you use to test the speakers? its starts at 13:37, what is it for and how much? thanks
Oliver Galman was it this tool?
ua-cam.com/video/tHRIT2BDmYg/v-deo.html
Nice. I like the use of ABS plastic. Where do you guys purchase it from?
Thank you, we get it from these guys
www.farcoplastics.com/
Nice!
Hi,
How much would this type of installation cost? If I was to bring all my own equipment?
906lane call Paul
Great video... Always great install, very clean and very informative!!! Can you do a video on Battery Terminal? I been wanting to change mine on my 05 Altima but it has a factory fuse!! Any suggestions ..Thanks again
Yeah those are tricky, we try not to mess with those to much. The next one we get in I will try to take a better look at and see if we can come up with something. Thanks for watching
My favorite Journey song
hi I was wondering what impact wrench you used to remove the seat
miguel raygoza it is an older SnapOn 14.4
What's the sleeve you guys use on the big gauge wire? on the amps.
It is a flex loom seen here
m.wirecare.com/categories/general-purpose
That was tight!!!
What was the black plastic you used for the bases?
Garage Legacy it is 1/4 ABS
Five Star Car Stereo thank you sir
Garage Legacy you bet
I like the video, can you please tell me detail of equipment and cost? Thanks
Junaid Alam thank you, you can call Paul for prices
What city are you guys in?
What material did they use to mount amps and crossovers?
+miguel medina we use Sintra pvc board and ABS
Where are u guys located?
How long did that job take?? Bravo!!!! Nice work
these build vlogs are really enjoyable! where do you purchase the abs plastic? and whats a good estimate on the whole install?
Thank you, we get the plastic from these guys
www.farcoplastics.com/. Price wise I just put the stuff in, that is the sales guy part.
Stumbled upon your channel, LOVE IT! Love the clean wiring, couple quick questions it's been about 2yrs since I did a basic "hidden install" on my truck and I'm thinking of upgrading, do you guys use factory speaker wire or replace it all? What do you guys think of Morel speakers are they worth the high price or any other recommendations for some really good components? I'm not looking to have the loudest truck on the block just want nice clean sound. Thanks
Sturds S. when it comes to new wire it really depends on the job and car. I love Morrel, my home stereo is all Morrel. We do not sell them in the store unfortunately, we have Focal and Hertz.
Five Star Car Stereo, I have heard a lot of good about Hertz and Focal, but with Morel I have heard that their Premium line is unbelievable but I've heard their "Economy" line is terrible? I live a couple hours south of you and all the shops around here only sell pioneer as their "premium" maybe I'll have to take a day trip up to see you guys!
Sturds S. we only display there middle line products but it is way better the Pioneer.
split loom at the battery?????
Do you have sell the USB connection that you installed?
Jtrivett79 yes we sell them, give Paul a call 7272166170
how long you guys took to complete the whole thing ?
It took 10.5 hours of uninterrupted work. The video was shot over 2 days.
woooowwww... nice job
Thank you
you guys do a great job, where are you located and how much did this all cost?
+seamalulion we are in Clearwater Florida, I honestly have no idea how much. You can give us a call if you like for more information. 727-216-6170
how to run my remote wire to my fuse box.
Now I want components in my ride
why do you use aluminum power wires for the amps?
Alejandro Briones you don't unless you are trying to save money. Most of the time you want silver coated copper. Or just good old oxygen free copper. In this install we used 100% OFC. If you would like to see a comparison between the to check out this video.
ua-cam.com/video/LH7s18qn2LE/v-deo.html
Five Star Car Stereo ohhh, I didn't knew about silver coated wire, I thought that OFC were the best for car audio, thanks 5star
what kind of tape do u use doesn't look like electrical tape
Josh Costanzo it is cloth tape called Tesa tape. You can get it on Facebook search teas tape
Bottom line, I would take my car to this shop in a heartbeat.
Thank you that means a lot. It is not easy putting it out there for everyone to see and judge.
where are you guys located , I've been following you guys videos for awhile , and by the way y'all make a great team , "The dynamic duo " , I would like to have you guys do a install in my 04 Navigator
easyaccess2 KD we are in Clearwater Florida
easyaccess2 KD thank you for watching
Nice dancing Dean, lmao!!!!
Do voice overs for all the wiring so we can keep up!
Devin Nguyen good idea
Great install! But why Sony amps? :-) Looks like a new higher quality camera or video format. Easy on the pneumatic tool sound, my ears!!
