    I did that same walk from Braemar last August, stayed a night in the bothy, early start round the 4 hills and back to Braemar. I thought the climb up from the loch past the marker poles was very steep.

    • @WalkWithWallace
      @WalkWithWallace  Рік тому +1

      Yeah, from memory it was quite steep. Once up onto the plateau it's easy going.

    Another top Vid Robin ,thanks for sharing..Would love a wee drone,lol.Just recently got a Go Pro 7.What settings do you have urs at?😀

    • @WalkWithWallace
      @WalkWithWallace  5 років тому

      Cheers Andy. The drone is magic, still getting used to it though. As for the GoPro, I shoot in 24fps at 2.7k in linear so I don't get the fisheye effect. Good compromise between 4k and 1080p. ISO min: 100 and max: 400. Drop the max to 200 on really sunny days. Shoot in flat, so the colours aren't too saturated and the sharpness on low.

    Thank you Robin for taking us along with you all, I always find it entertaining when Kev goes off with the camera. Does he do vlogs of his own ? Or does he just do bits on your videos ? They looked like the sort of Munros I could manage. Grassy and easier under foot than the ones full of boulders and shale ! Although they don't look so dramatic and majestic ! The views looked good and Gracie was certainly enjoying herself ;-) atb Teddy
    PS... Looks like you had perfect weather for it too, let us all hope we will have a dry autumn .

    It looks that this is the area where 4 years ago I decided to of the path and ended up crushing my knee what put off the trail for 6 months. I leaned a lot about taking shortcuts and using walking poles back then. :)

      Walk With Wallace 👣 As do I. Bothies can seem a bit claustrophobic especially when I’m on my own. If some other creepy hikers would walk in and stay, I wouldn’t know what to do. Haha. Sorry Robin, I'm a bit late to this one. A good start amid a tidy Bothy and scenery. And yeah my mother used to do that. Her spit would smell. I bet the smells were sweeter on top there. A good camp with a neat Kev takeover. I like that as I did that wee Loch. Big broad tops there Robin and then dramatic valleys hidden away. Beautiful. A but like the Cambrians where the Wye source is. Any way, what with the dog and all I'd say a top rate video. Very pos. All the best. Mark

    • @WalkWithWallace
      @WalkWithWallace  5 років тому +1

      Cheers Mark,
      I can't help but get a bit annoyed when people label these hills as boring. Not as grand as the Cairngorms or as craggy as the West Highlands, but they've got their charm and plenty wildlife to see too.

      @WyeExplorer 5 років тому

      @@WalkWithWallace Yeah I agree Robin. Some of these mountains or hills can be rounded on the tops but their valleys and woodland and rivers are awesome. I'm glad you feel this way about them. A pleasure to watch and comment.

      @Pete is never wrong yep...purge itself of religious zealots...that didn't sound slightly Nazi...did it... hopefully the SNP won't feel the need to persecute a particular religion or political belief system? 🤔 Or support various political parties allied to various terrorist groupings?
