  • Hello Friends welcome to my channel Mother's recipe Today I shared a millet recipe with you all so here I am sharing some basic information about millet .
    Millets are of two types, one is major millet and the other is minor millet.
    Major millets are jowar, bajra and ragi.
    Minor millets are foxtail,little, kodo, barnyard.
    Millets are rich in fibre, protein, vitamins and minerals.
    They are naturally gluten free.
    The potential health benefits of millet include protecting cardiovascular health and preventing the onset of diabetes, helping people achieve and maintain a healthy weight and managing inflammation in the gut.
    Remember to soak it overnight before cooking to lower its antinutrient content. Soaking the millet overnight ensures that you break down the phytic acid in them so don't forget to soak millet overnight or 8 to 10 hours.
    You may toast it in a pan before cooking to enhance its nutty taste.
