Welcome to "Independent Service Shops" who have more bravado about fixing cars than actual SKILL to work on an exotic car. Lots of mechanics will brag that they can fix stuff, but get WAAAY over their head.
Honestly iv heard WAY WAY more horror stories from the main dealer on older exotics than Independants, the trick is to vet the independent. For a 90s ferrari I'd be taking it to one or two specialists with good reputations that solely work on classics or the one that only works on out of warranty/factory support ferrari. Theres a point where the dealer isn't training people on stuff and the mechanics won't have seen one where you have to transition to specialists. It's also where people who were trained by the marque but left because they got fed up with the bullshit tend to end up if their good mechanics. The main cost of working on an exotic like this is having to travel to theechanic in a lot of ways, the guy I'd be taking this too is 9 hours drive from me for Example. You know what, I’m glad you didn’t give up on this car despite what everyone else was saying about it. Respect ✊
Tyler Hoover: *has a bad experience with ferraris*
Also Tyler: i bought another Ferrari!
The internet: *loves his goofyness*
Do we really want Hoovie to start buying 90's Toyotas instead of this stuff?
Maybe, maybe not.
And for his next trick, he's going to buy another BMW. Again.
They are over $100,000 in Australia. I always liked the styling of them, the 355 is no doubt prettier but the 348 has some awesome 80s styling features like those side strakes and louvered tail lights that make it stand out more. A 348 with a 355 front bumper would look perfect 👌
Edit: I found one with a 355 bumper, looks as good as I thought! www.ferrarichat.com/forum/media/348-euro-355-bumpers-no-ugly-u-s-side-markers-lowered-aligned-and-corner-balanced.3253/
Buy it.
Reminds me of my motorcycling days. I had a friend who bought exotica again and again yet had to be rescued from break downs again and again. I got to ride a lot of rare, pretty bikes without having my wallet in the game but had to listen to failure stories.

Dont jinx that car like that! I hate to see a beautiful car go to waste like that.
"Enjoy the fruit of someone else's labor" another shirt
And then we all enjoy the fruit of his suffering :)
Just dont let the dude from vehicle virgins anywhere near it
Porker
Pretty much. Keep that guy away, and this car will live long enough to break down again & again.
@@theclicker 🤣
You really got ripped off on this deal, I am a mechanical engineer and I can tell you for a fact that the odometer and the thermostat does not quit working before 200,000 miles, the previous owner must’ve been disconnecting the speed sensor or the fuse that disconnects the odometer, but you can still drive it and get some of your money’s worth out of it
Tavarish gets to inspect his future car this time🤣🤣🤣
That look on Ed's face when Tyler tells him the mileage
It's great to see the whole trip of picking up a car and the journey back home 👌
0:30 never heard a Lamborghini called “practical” before.
