For Android Auto, the smartphone should be connected via Bluetooth to the Android box only and not on the vehicle's Bluetooth, right?

During a phone call is the microphone still to the factory mic in the car and is the call delayed when u speak to the other person vice versa?

My unit plays audio thru the oem system but the anroid carplay doesnt nor do any of the apps
