Awesome flight, great to see your videos again Micke! You helped inspire me to start lessons myself, I'm looking forward to my first solo sometime in the next few weeks. Thanks for the great videos.
Good to see and hear from your flying adventure again! Moving seems to be a major event in everyone's life, from packing to unpacking and reorienting oneself in a place called, my home. It is on my travel list to visit and stay for a while in the Tyrol Region of Austria and Italy. So I am spending more time learning those dialects of German now. Maybe another interview with someone and you speaking in German would be helpful for those of us appreciating the variances of the German Language. Gute Reise nach Hause.
Good job 😊 I did that trip last summer with my cirrus SR22 on my way from Germany to Oshkosh. It was also great. Many happy landings to you. Ludger from Muenster Germany 🇩🇪
2 questions: a) on such flights, do you turn TKS on as a cautionary measure, seeing as it's not easy to see the wings or windshield in this dark? b) currently, what route do ferries to Australia take? Pacific? Seeing as looking along the path from Austria to Australia eastbound, it seems to a number of countries along the route that you wouldn't want to land in - if you even can.
Micke, I was wondering how well is this DA equipped against ice? Heated propellers as the big boys? Heated leading edge electronically? In case of icing mid flight, what would you do? Descent to warmer altitude? Or do you plan your route to avoid any ice? If it's even possible in winter times over Atlantic..thanks for your feedback! Loving your videos, you're doing fantastic.
Hi! Thanks for the comment! The DA62 is equipped with a de-ice system or the so called TKS system. TKS comes from the 3 companies which invented the system (Telcalemit-Kilfrost-Sheepbridge). They created a liquid which is out of glycol, alcohol and water and which got a freezing point of about -57°C, dependent on the proportion. This liquid then comes out on the leading edged and prevents ice from building up because of it’s low freezing point. On the propellers it works the same. There the liquid comes out from a nozzle which is located near to the propeller root and because of the centripetal force it covers the inner leading edge of the prop to prevent ice building up there. On the outer section of the propeller blade the force is too high for ice to build up. Important though is that you “wet your wing” before you enter possible icing conditions because if the ice is on there already, then the system won’t get it of. So you could actually call it an anti ice system and not a de-ice system. Nevertheless the DA62 is FIKI (flight into known icing) certified and I never felt unsafe when entering icing conditions when I have this system. Hope that was clear enough☺️ BR Micke

I'm thinking about flying one of your ferry flights in MSFS. If it's not a trade secret, could you please share the routings of the legs of this or the previous ferry flight? Thanks in advance
@@MickeLang In this one yes, there is a good clipping of the plans, but sadly it is not in every leg. Was the LOAN-ESTA something like GESG1A GESGI STO OKF VLM HDO M725 GERGA Y218 ALUKA VAVUN L996 ROE L617 NILEN NILE2G? That is what simbrief comes up with, but it could have been quite different. I'd really appreciate if you could copy-paste it from foreflight history, but it's not vital, so I can take a "no", no worries.
Great Video, id love to see more of the life as a ferry pilot. How do you plan your Ferry flights? Where do you stay overnight? Do you have to book everything in advance? How many ferry flight you can do in a month etc. :)
We used to call that a sphincter tightening landing 😜 or a butt pucker landing 😋. Either way you did not need a seat belt, because you butt was holding on for dear life!
DA62 is an amazing machine, thank you so much for sharing your adventures with us!
Hey Micke, IFR at its Best. And with snow. Amazing 👌
Awesome flight, great to see your videos again Micke!
You helped inspire me to start lessons myself, I'm looking forward to my first solo sometime in the next few weeks. Thanks for the great videos.
Thanks Blake! Comments like yours motivates me to continue! Good luck with your training! Happy landings☺️
You flew right over my house :) Welcome back!
You saw that in the dark? haha
Nah we purposely bought a house on the RNAV 34 😂
"Do you have the runway conditions..." - "negative" - "
I will not give a read back on that haha
Nice to see you again. Really crazy conditions.
Fantastic, and yes it looked very difficult! Thanks for posting all your videos!
Thank YOU for watching!☺️
Always good to see you Micke!!! Been watching since you first crossed the Atlantic three years ago!!!
Thanks Dave for coming back to the channel! ☺️
uff 🥶😄...Beautiful!!
Thanks😉

welcome to canadian winters. great video, thanks for sharing
That’s what I call winter! Thanks for watching Phil!

Appreciate it! #1015 😉
Hope your new place is great. Sucky conditions. Life of a ferry pilot.
Austria's No1 ferry pilot. Good video bro 😘 #diamondgeezers
❤️😘
Very well done ! Very tough conditions
Thanks Markus☺️
Welcome to Canada!
Yes blowing snow is here totally normal! Not easy to drive with large trucks, but that’s our daily life in winter.
I can believe that this can be hard to drive in these conditions!☝🏼
Nice job. You should try driving for hours in those drifting conditions. It's easy to become fixed on the blowing snow instead of the road.
I can believe that! Not easy at all!
Great flying Micke! It's amazing how much better your phone is compared to the Gopros!
Cant wait! 🥳
😉
Nice video nice quality. Nice to see how your videos grown with your experience . For me the Videos could be longer. Keep on going.
Thanks mate!☺️

How detailed do you want them?😜
@@MickeLang Well it wouldn't really be the same if I just flew from-to the same airports, waypoints/airways would be a big difference
@@dmnflights I actually show the flightplans in the beginning of the videos, did you spot them?

Thanks for the idea! Maybe a future video will cover that☺️
Could you please explain why everything went dark for a moment while you were flying? All the insteuments were switched off or something like this??
Amazing video! I Hate to correct you but it wasn't "holy smokes" blowing across the runway, hehe 😁
hahahahah😂😂😂
Did you have to wait for immigration officers to arrive or so? Would have loved to see this detail at the end ;)
Agree with Martin! IFR is at it's best! Was this from last year then? How big is your backlog?
I‘m one year behind with editing😂
Is the registration of all new aircraft from the factory the same Micke?
No they are not
I would like to know, for how long is the DA62 able to fly single engine?
Until you run out of fuel.
The 62 can even climb with one engine inoperative👍🏼
Why Not landinglight Mike ?
it‘s on
Does the DA64 have auto-throttle once you engage Autopilot?
No, it hasn‘t.
Negative, but is has a FADEC so it’s a single lever power control👍🏼
Flying in Canada XP: +1000
Haha wait for the next one, temperature is killing me😂
