      Thank you Pamela, it is always nice to hear from my viewers and their thoughts on my videos. We got very lucky I thought weather wise while there. We missed the Pacific storm that hit the coast the week or so before.

      Been up there several times in the past but this was the first time I camped there. I was very pleased with the location, view and weather. I will return again sometime. Hope you will catch my other videos of the coastal State Parks of Washington State.

    The 2 sites that you talked about at 5:52 are sites 32 and 33. They are tent only sites right next to Joe Creek. You are supposed to park your vehicle in the parking lot. ( There is no parking spot on the site). And like some else said that is not the moclips river, Its Joe creek.

      Yes, I was corrected earlier on that. I was still learning editing methods and did not know l could correct my verbal mistakes "over my video" at that time. 😅 I have learned much since then on editing my videos.

    I thought I would let you know that is Joe Creek, Moclips river is well north of Pacific Beach.

    Thanks for this video. This is an somewhat isolated part of the Washington coast that I have not explored yet. I'll have to give it a try. I noticed your new graphics. You have been working constantly to improve your site! Wind noise is a real problem for cellphone mics. The usual remedy for an additional mic is the addition of a fuzzy wind baffle over the tip of the mic but I don't know how you would put one on a cellphone mic. I am curious in many of your videos you feature an intro video clip of a waterfall, where was that waterfall?

      It is a developed primitive BLM campground right off the road right cross the road from the waterfall!
      It is on the highway several miles east from Cook City entrance and is the last campground directly "off the road" till Cooke City. The view into the valley below the campground is beautiful also.

      I checked what l was told by the Park Ranger who was covering 3 state parks on the coast and realized "he" had his rivers mixed up when we talked. SO once again l trusted "authority" - without doing my own research and was told the wrong info. Thanks for catching that. Now l KNOW to tell others.
      Like l tell my viewers, "feedback" (constructive) is what l ask for.

    Curious, why is your site free?

    • @doggonervn211

      There are actually "benefits" worth something when you get a certain age in this country. In WA State if you are over 65 you can pay $70.00 for a WA State Parks Sr. Off- Season pass. This is good from October of that year to April of the next for any WA State Parks with Open Campgrounds during the winter. When you consider it can cost you over $45.00 for a standard campsite as a "younger person" a Sr, can use the pass to camp in any "standard" non utility campsite for up to 10 days. If you do camp in a power site it will cost you $10.00- $20.00 / night even with the Sr. Pass. So you pay off that $70.00 very quickly then you are truly camping free. and my Mantra is to camp Free or as cheaply as possible BUT also as comfortably as possible too. Hope this helps. Power to the "Old People", we've paid our dues several times over for this nation LOL!

      @@doggonervn211 The senior pass is 75.00 dollars. If you get a utility site its 10.00 per night with the pass, Any non utility is free. And you can stay up to 20 days consecutively.

    Don't forget some history here. Elwangers Motel, including the 3 cabins. Pacific Beach motel across the street (1964). Ah the memories. Then; quiet, just a few folks at a beach. Now: Noisy, loud, teens, no morals, a give a sh*t attitude, , after partying, leave's garbage, and the cost of town funds to clean up. I go here in winter...., to remember. To know a simpler time.....

      You got that right. In the 70's Grays Harbor area and Ocean Shores had a big drug problem with the youth there and with the present attitude of people today things will not get better I am afraid. The "good old days" of respect and personal responsibility are gone! Respect is not given it is "earned" . A concept the youth today cannot "grasp" mentally it seems. Everything they were raised on was based on "instant gratification"!

    How’s the tent campground there?

    • @doggonervn211
      @doggonervn211  3 роки тому

      Tent camping should be fine. You just might have to move the picnic table a bit for more space. I didn't see anyone tent camping since we were there in the winter, but I see no reason you couldn't in the standard spaces (no power ).
