- A few minutes of footage taken in January 1937 of the "highwater" in downtown Pittsburgh. On Jan. 26, 1937, the Ohio River crested at 34.5 feet in Pittsburgh, nearly 10 feet above flood stage but still less than the historic St. Patrick's Day flood the year before when the river crested at a record 46 feet in the city. In this film the photographer spends much of the time at the corer of water street and Liberty Ave. Looking toward the Point Bridge (up the ramp) and then turns to the east providing a view of the Wabash Bridge. Also looking up Liberty several times a view of the railroad bridge and further up Jenkins arcade and Rosenbaums can be seen. The film ends with a view of the Allegheny from the North Side near the B&O building and finally up the river to cottages near the Marina at Oakmont where the man points out the high water mark.
