I'm running 10 gpus inside mine and zero issues, runs extremely cool. Fans at 60 percent with your tape trick! Had a bad fan and they sent a replacement fast!
@Kr00tman tech and mining! - How did you reduce the case fans till 25% ? How you done it please? I want too get it lower - the noise are insane on full auto - I cannot keep it in living area with such noise - I have same OCTO from psp parts! Thank you!
@kr00tman thanks man. I could see a low power build using Intel arc cards in there, de-curve the fans. I have an asrock 510 btc board that supports resizeable bar and am doing such a build on it. But would be nice to find something like an octominer turnkey as the asrock has this weird non standard mounting holes that won't fit a traditional riserless case.
@@davidb1412 check out some of my other videos you can easily power most GPUs on these things, for the higher end ones you won't be able to put 12 in and you may have to put the fans on the outside, but they don't get much more turnkey then that!
YOU, mad electron, don't mind me mining, crypto 440, luke warm mining are my top dogs! No fluff no bs! Keep up the great work! Question for ya, if you never gpu mined before and wanted to start would you say the pcsp cases are the way to go? or should i buy the standard octo ultra 8 for double the price. I want to use a server case 100%. This could be a stupid question but can these be rackmounted? it looks to be much wider than 19 inches, and from all the videos i've seen I don't think i've seen them racked. One more thing, can these fans be replaced with quieter 4 pin pwm fans? and if so safely? I have a squad of the be quiet silent wings pro 4's I'd like to use in something lol Thanks kr00t mang!
@@xaioai-j9i pcsp octos 100 percent, right now it's important to spend as little as possible on your parts since the market is down and prices are so low
Hey that pic is exactly what I wanna ask about, the board has 8pin connectors and the cables are only 6pin. Can you use some sort of 8pin connectors there. Cant seem to find octoserver replacement cables anywhere
@kr00tman looks like they sent wrong voltage PSUs (277V) and are sending replacements. Pretty fast reply too👍 Was planning on doing freshy-fresh flash of hiveos on drive once up and running. Question: is there a specific/different hiveos image to work with octominer hardware and features?

yup thats going to be a theme of the video, if you have issues PCSP replaces the part that has issues fastttt
Looks like the spacing is pretty small can really only fit 8 of the 12 slots.. Seems like it is the X8 case but with support for 12.

in hive there is an icon on the top right called octominer where you can tweak them
Great video, Brandon Coin sent me over. subbed. Do you happen to know if these cases and boards support resizeable BAR
@@davidb1412 thank you! They are on the older side so I don't think they do but I'll try and check if I have time!

they are 6 to 8 pin to power gpus
how about 12 gpus? how watt the stock wire can take loads?

this are pcie 4x or 16x each? planing on putting 4090 there.
@@tacoterito22 as far as I can recall no 4090 will fit, they have to be shorter then 13 Inches
