I was hoping I would find something like this for Walnut Creek. I ride the paved trail there but never the mountain bike. Heck, I didn't even realize it was there. Got an eMtn bike recently. Did Mandan. Want to do a taco ride at Walnut Creek but I was nervous about what it was like. Will do a solo trip first to be sure I can keep up with the group. So happy you showed how to get to it - two directions I found were worthless. I recognized the parking lot and that path immediately at the front of your video. Thanks much..
Thanks for the comment! WC is my home trail and where I started mountain biking. I get it (and other trails) can be confusing and intimidating. Trying to do my part to help people discover it and have a good experience!
@@TallGuyTrails - Just came back. The green trails (I'm a beginner) were just fine. The blue trails had me nervous. I need to ride this style bike more to get a better rhythm. Thanks again for the summary.
Is this too technical for kids? I’ve got a 13 and 11 yr olds that aren’t great riders but I’d like to show them some off pavement riding. Is there anything different in the area you’d recommend? Tranquility? Thanks man…I enjoy your vids!
Walnut Creek is a great beginner trail. So is Swanson, and Tranquility is probably a good option too. At Walnut Creek, you can just ride around the obstacles. My 9 year old can ride most of it. Check out my new video on Mandan Park though. That's a new trail just opened that's great for new riders too.
I had no idea that area was supposed to be a pump track. The couple of times I've been on it I just think, "How in the world does anyone get enough speed to jump these these things?" Ha! Knowing is half the battle.
@@TallGuyTrails Well, I didn't know anything resembling a pump track existed around here, so there you go. Now if I can just bring myself to do the drop/kicker combo...

@@TheLadykatepyroawesome! Everybody starts somewhere. There were things out there that were plenty scary to me when I started.
Thanks for the video! As a beginner this helps me know what to expect for my first time on this trail.
Glad to hear it! First time on a new trail can be frustrating when you don’t know where you are going.
@@TallGuyTrails yes for sure !
Along with Swanson, one of my favorite trails. Great video!
One of my favorite places to get a casual ride with some fun little jumps. Hope it keeps developing!

To be clear, Walnut Creek, Papillion, Nebraska. Entrance is parking lot on east side of lake, north east corner of the parking lot.

That's pretty funny, but totally understand. Hopefully we do some more work on that soon to finish it out and refine it.
