Came to Christ without the aid of man, and I wasn’t even seeking Jesus when I went from atheist to agnostic to finally monotheistic with Christ Jesus. The Old Testament is my favorite, particularly Leviticus. But when I read the Old Testament, I have seen so much of the LORD calling people to repent, showing mercy, saving, etc. He is exactly the same as He is on the NT. God has saved and will always save until that Great and Dreadful day of the LORD. I think the issue, other than what Romans says about us being haters of God, is that if you don’t realize the own darkness of your own heart, you will not be able to see the righteous judgment of God in the correct light. Thank you for this video, brother! May the LORD keep us all who have called upon His Name until the day of Jesus Christ.
To any agnostic or atheist who may read this, don’t come here trying to justify your anger or unbelief. If you seek for the truth, don’t deny it just because it offends you. Search for yourself and don’t take what man says as the final verdict.

God can’t do anything right for the atheist. If He punishes, He’s a monster. If He doesn’t punish, He doesn’t care. These self serving accusations are meant to justify unbelief and most who use them will hang onto them for dear life to do just that. So far everything is good.
Something similar happened with a good man named Uzza...while the ark was on the bulls, the bulls raged and the ark nearly fell.
Uzza took it easy and saved the ark from falling.
And what has the Lord, the god of Christians, done!? He puts him to death as punishment for this beautiful act !!!!!!!!
      Why!? What!? Please tell me!!!
The question is only for friends who believe in this book, the bible.
2Samuel 6:6 And they came to the threshing-floor of Nacon, and Uzza stretched out his hand to the ark of God and took it, because the oxen had stumbled.
2Samuel 6:7 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzza, and God smote him there for his trespass; and he died there, by the ark of God.
2Samuel 6:8 So David was very angry because the LORD had made a breach in the person of Uzza; and he called that place by the name of Pérets-Uzza, which has stuck with him to this day.

What is your evidence for this claim? Also, you are making a moral claim that lack of “evil” (which, by the way, cannot exist independent of the existence of an objective moral standard which requires the existence of God) is superior to free will. With what evidence or by what authority can you make such a claim? Without free will there might be no evil, but there would also be no love. I don’t want to live in a world devoid of love and free will. I find that far inferior to an imperfect world where both free will and love exist.

Isaiah 33. Winter spoils, but is not spoiled; ceasing to spoil (ending), it is spoiled, i.e., the provisions left are carried into the next season (v. 1).
It is spring, hence, O Lord (Jahveh), be gracious and give us a good crop, for this alone is our salvation in time of trouble - in winter (v. 2). "At the noise of the tumult (the confusion of Babel) the people fled;" at the lifting up of thyself (the Sun going into the upper hemisphere) the nations were scattered - got out of the ark (v. 3). Your spoil (Joseph's bones = the remains of the winter stores) shall be gathered into a small space (v. 4).
Behold, the Lord (Sun) is exalted (in Aries), he dwelleth on high (in the summer hemisphere); he hath filled (in time past) Zion (winter) with judgment and righteousness. Wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times (the spring) and thy salvation. The fear of the Lord (Jahveh) is his (Judah's) treasure, i.e., the position of the Earth as regards the Sun brings the crops (v. 6). But again "behold" their valiant ones (erellem * = the lion or summer rams = Aries during the summer months) shall cry without (i.e., during winter); the ambassadors of peace (the summer months just ended) shall weep bitterly, - the rainy season will next come on (v. 7).
The highways now lie waste (Earth in winter), the wayfaring man (the Sun) ceaseth (his labor); for he hath broken the covenant (gone below the equator), he hath despised the cities (summer months), he regardeth no man (v. 8). The Earth mourneth and languisheth, and Lebanon is ashamed; Sharon (plain) is like a wilderness (winter), and Bashan and Carmel (spring and summer) shake off their fruits, i.e., are past (v. 9).
Now will I (the Sun) rise, saith the Lord; now will I be exalted (Sun in Aries); now will I lift myself up. Ye (Lebanon and Sharon) may conceive chaff and bring forth straw; for thus was your curse (Gen. 3.17, 18). You are ever devoured by your own breath, - winter consumes the summer crops. The sinners and hypocrites of Zion (winter) are afraid, because they dwell with the devouring fire (v. 14). But he that walketh uprightly shall dwell on high, in summer, and bread (harvest) shall be given him (v. 16). Thine (Christ's or the Messiah's) eyes shall see the king (the Sun) in his beauty in summer, and the land that is far off (v. 17). Thy heart shall meditate terror (winter). Where is the scribe? -the end of the year. Where is the "weigher" = Libra, As the Sun enters Aries, Earth enters Libra, and spring begins. Here thou shalt not see a fierce people, etc. (v. 19). After summer look upon Zion (winter solstice), the city of our solemnities, wherein we celebrate Christmas, or Christ's birth. Again, thou shalt see Jerusalem (peace - summer) a quiet habitation, a tabernacle that shall not be taken down (v. 20). But this
      * "The word erellam, which we translate valiant ones, is very difficult; no man knows what it means,"- Clarke, in loco. Some MSS. read erellim. The true reading, doubtless, is arielim= Lion-rams. In this I am supported by Fuerst, Heb. Lex., p. 148. None are so blind as they who won't see! + Or the sending forth of Christ, or the Sun.
Jerusalem, this summer, will be a place of broad rivers, where no ship shall float. Noah's scow can never navigate here. It belongs to the winter hemisphere.
The Lord (summer Sun) is our judge, law-giver and king. Thy tacklings are loosed, winter is past and its spoil (what is left of its store) is divided among the lame (the people being usually crippled, i.e., short of provisions just before harvest). At the spring equinox, the days and nights being equal, the sins or iniquities of the people are forgiven.

Especially when pointing out that just because a human ordering, or carrying out by their own volition, something like killing children...
Would be considered morally wrong & evil.
God's perspective is different, thusly what's wrong/evil for humans, is not necessarily wrong/evil for God.

The Bible is the only sacred book in the world that commands, under the order of its god of love himself, the slaughter of children, babies, and even fetuses!!!
The Omniscient and GOOD GOD of the Bible who has a heart full of love and compassion HAS REMEMBERED (he sometimes forgets), after more than 400 years of forgetting what men of 'Amalek to the indulgent Israelis (That god said, “I REMEMBER what Amalek did to Israel”)!!!
And this Merciful and GOOD GOD, therefore, decided to take revenge by ordering Saul through Samuel to commit a horrible genocide against not the real culprits who attacked the Israelis more than 4 centuries ago but against innocent people who have nothing to do with what their guilty ancestors did...
Thus, in the Bible, “Thus says the Lord of hosts: I REMEMBER what Amalek did to Israel when he closed the way to them when they came out of Egypt. But why this AVENGER GOOD GOD also ordered the death of these poor animals ... donkeys, camels, sheep, oxen ... !!!!? Did their ancestors also participate in the crimes!!!?
And babies and children, and even women and men and old people...!!!!
It was the Merciful and GOOD GOD who was solely responsible for this murderous genocide for the beautiful eyes of the Israelis!!!
And it was this same GOD who ordered the slaughter of about 50,700 people who committed a very great crime: the crime of looking into a simple wooden box, an ark… (1Samuel 6:19)
And it was that same GOD again who sent two ferocious bears to tear 42 little boys to pieces who only said to Elisha, “Get up, baldhead! Get on, baldhead! … (2Kings 2:23-24)
And it was that GOOD GOD who told Hosea to slaughter the little children, and to cleave the bellies of the pregnant women of Samaria (and even the fetuses could not escape the goodness of our GOOD GOD)… ( Hosea 13:16)
      (…)
(IN ALL THIS BLOODBATH, where was Jesus!!!?
Wasn't Jesus and the father ONE and from the beginning!!!?)
Obviously, Jesus was this GOOD AVENGER GOD since he and the father, as the bible says and Christians always repeat, are ONE and were from the beginning and the father was in Jesus and Jesus was in the father ... and the god of the old testament was none other than the god of the new testament.

Of course, you will hurry to pick it up to prevent it from falling.
Your friend will thank you very much and surely.

The six days (Aries thru Virgo) in Genesis one, is tweaked by taking the first night (Libra) and adding it to the six "days" to get the arc of seven constellations representing summer (sun above equinoctial line aka light over darkness/female/good) and leaving five signs (Scorpio thru Pisces) representing winter (sun below equinoctial line aka darkness over light/male/evil as in Rev 9. And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature. And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight." • @harveywabbit9541

"There were giants in those days," says our vulgar text (Gen. 6:4). The Hebrew is Nephilim = - fallen ones, reference being had to the southern zodiacal constellations, when "Noah was a just man," i.e., when the Sun was in Libra (Gen. 6:9). These giants were Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricornus, Aquarius and Pisces, then below the equator.
"And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that the imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually (Gen. 6:5).
Here we have a translation as faulty as it can well be. Correctly rendered, it would read: "And the Lord (Jahveh, not Elohim) saw that the wickedness of the Man (i.e., Aquarius, for the article - the in the original, shows that a particular Man is referred to) was great in the earth, and that the purpose of his thoughts was only evil every day." The meaning of the text is thus made clear. The Lord seeing the Sun descending in his ecliptic toward " the man " (Aquarius), thought the Man was pulling "the Man's" intentions " were only evil every day;" and, indeed, the Lord's fears seemed well grounded, for it would be a shocking thing, according to appearances, should the Sun in his downward course to the bottomless pit, never stop to return to the summer hemisphere again. In consequence of this threatened danger, we are told (Gen. 6. 6) the Lord repented that he had made " the Man " (the article is still present in the Hebrew), and scoffers, who know not the Lord, have thought him silly in this; but, let me say, it must have seemed a terrible tiling to the Lord, when he. saw the earth (which sympathizes with the Sun), with its countless myriads of living creatures, the work of his own hands, being tumbled down to Hell at the rate of, as astronomers tell us, 1,639,000 miles a day, or 19 miles a second!

The woman which the Lord-God had created in the garden, told the serpent, in her state of ignorance, that they (herself and Adam) were forbidden to eat of the tree " in the midst of the garden " (Gen. 3. 3), which was a mistake. The serpent, however, determined to circumvent the Lord-God, was careful "the man" should partake of the fruit of the right tree -"the tree of knowledge of good and evil." He did not wish him to eat of "the tree of life," and so become equal to the Lord-God and live forever. This was not his design. He wished to get "the man" below with him in the infernal regions - into his possession, in his kingdom of darkness. This was his object; and the Lord-God must have been off his guard, or else he must have intended from the "Beginning" which I am inclined to suspect, to turn our poor old grandfather with his innumerable progeny over to the subtle serpent - our great adversary, the Devil, or Winter. The result of the eating, however, was knowledge, which most people now-a-days fearfully lack; and the Lord-God, anxious lest this poor, feeble, naked and miserable old "man" should make a profitable use of his recently acquired knowledge, hastened to remove him from his presence! Before doing this, however, he curses all the parties implicated. Nay, more; he curses the very ground, which certainly showed a lack of consideration and that he was not in his right mind.
Adam had not yet named his wife, because, probably, his knowledge was not equal to the task. He now calls her name Eve - life, "because she was the mother of all living" (Gen. 3.20), which name, of course, was very appropriate, as she was not yet a mother at all. The name would have better applied to Adam, as the Lord-God got Eve of him!

We can talk much about it, but at some point a peson should grow up and understand that they themselves are not center of the world, and there is greater power to stand over them. Parents, ethics, law. God. The giver of life. The taker of life. And that someone's ethics might differ from your own, and there is perspective on things.
Shouting "Violence!" would never stop any world's problem, and everything have a reason why it happens, everything at all. Like Frank've said, He didn't just woke up and decided to do it. But unless we keep out our emotions and keep ourselves cool, only then we can determine, wheither something is really bad, or it's just seems so from emotional perspective.
It is impossible to justify any sort of violence from the perspective of emotions, it is unbearable. Only with stronger emotion, of hatred or fear for example. But all emotions are a lie and just reactions in the end, they are not intellectual, and do not determine right from wrong.
Empathy is blind, you can have empathy to a criminal, that doesn't make it right. I hope i was clear on this and was able to give some view on this from another angle.

So, God had 400 years to deal with the Canaanites before his people arrived to inherit the promised land. This is what I would have done. In that 400-year time, I would have cut the water supply down to the point that would cause the inhabitants to have to relocate to other regions, far away from Canaan. Then, when the Israelites arrived, I would have made water more plentiful for my chosen people to flourish.
Instead, what God actually did was to allow the original inhabitants to flourish in Canaan, only to be literally hacked up to pieces by the Israelite armies.
So, why didn't God think of my plan? Is it because he isn't smart enough? Was it because he is inept? Was it because he was still learning to be God? Was it because he just didn't care? Was it because he wanted to prove a point at the expense of the Canaanites? Or was it because he is evil and immoral? Oh wait, maybe this God actually doesn't exist and none of this really happened. As a Christian, this doesn't answer the crux of the question. I don't think the objector has a hard time grasping the idea that a perfect God has a right to judge his imperfect creation. The difficulty is in reading Israel's account or experience of God and reconciling that with Christ. It's not that God condemns the Canaanites, it's that he calls his covenant people to do so. Since Canaan murders their children in sacrifice to moloch, he's going to have the army of Israel kill every man woman and child, even their livestock, leaving nothing alive. So it's just more murder of children? Modern apologists who try to water down what Israel actually did doesn't change what scripture says they did. Juxtapose that to what Christ tells us to do with our enemies, it's completely the opposite. And on top of that, everyone's told by the Christian that God is unchanging. So, there is a hardship in reconciling these things. I don't like the answer here, as much as I like Frank, because it fails to actually address the crux of the issue. I, for one, think a Cruciform hermeneutical approach is the only thing that even comes close to addressing Israel's violence in the old testament. God also used other ancient near eastern people to condemn Israel when they fell deeply into idolatry. The old testament depiction of God is dreadfully incomplete until we see who Christ is, the perfect image bearer of God's nature. As Christian's, we don't have the burden of carrying the water for ancient Israel. We know Christ crucified, our all and all, and He is the one who shows us exactly how we are to behave before the almighty God.

Again sometimes judgement is quick, sometimes it will be later. Only he knows the right time, as we don't the whole picture.

I assume we are led to believe that the reason God isn’t judging nations now like he did in the Old Testament is because of the coming a judgement day. How do you interpret this?

God in Bible commanded to kill men, women, children and nursing babies for their forefathers sins in 1 Samuel 15:3.
