  • A serious monster G with its 45 centimetre ground clearance, but which still drives like a luxury car with high-quality leather interior. It is very quiet inside due to the fact that the access opening to the camper is well isolated from the driver’s cabin by a door - it isn’t an open vehicle. It is really a very pleasant battleship to drive. And of course you ride quite a few centimetres higher than you normally do.
    This is due to the 45 centimetre ground clearance... Thanks to the portal axles. The conversion to portal axels alone will set you back around 70,000 euros... Well, never mind. Both companies LE-Tech and Orangework wanted to show what’s possible if everyone contributed their best skills to this project. The outcome is a true off-road jewel. One that leaves every spectator in awe along the road - and not just off-road fans either. Should it - despite the massive tires - get too bumpy, the driver can simply press a button to lower the tyre pressure. Getting out of the van was so yesterday. You’ll probably hardly ever have to get out of the Lennson 3C to dig yourself out and this is not only due to the powerful three-litre diesel engine.
    Why does this G wagon still need a winch? With this extremely modified chassis -18-inch beadlock rims, the pressure regulation system, and portal axels. The wheelbase was lengthened by 60 centimetres to accommodate the camper box on top. You can also order the camper in carbon fibre. This makes it possible to have a lot of fun off-road.
    LE not only found interesting solutions for the modified chassis, the camper box is also built in a different way. It is laminated in one piece like a boat rather than built of single sheets. That’s where you get these grooves around the outer shell. On the one hand, they help to make the box more ridged but are also neat design features. It’s available as GRP (glass-fibre reinforced plastic) or carbon fibre. This would save even more weight. As the vehicle is here it is close to 3.6 tons.

    I think the shell is made on a female mould with the vavum system . When you got the method this is the best custom to work, 2 Workers, 2 days preparation, 1 hour for vacum and one day for drying. Ok they have the mould to build.
    Conclusion: The quick method to work and the best quality, as you say, this is the leasure marine custom even for race boats. again you are perfect I shall recommand you to my friends.

    As we can see portal axles look like Unimog. the problem is always the same for a world tour , spécialists? Spare parts?
    Acomodation is classic and the best for that long! By the way for a light truck I'll stay with toyota.
    To save money ? 1) to work with the small leasure ship building, 2) to build the mould a take free lances for the carbon installation and vacum operation. May be I'll come back with a quotation. And the best for young guys is to have experience such as professionel and build is own, and may be more.

      The only solution is to modify the accommodation such as two convertible seats behind the driver seat and change the toilets location meaning to change everything inside, but it is possible your meaning is very good in some countries we have to carry guides

    We're not allowed to have a diesel g wagon in the states. The gas version is real bad on gas mileage to begin with, plus it uses premium. This is super cool, but id have gehocab do the camper conversion, if i was in germany.
