The first person he could ever just talk to, and they would spent hours just talking about anything and everything and all the things they have in commen - this was the basis for "Tell Her About It." It's simply about an "a-ha" moment for Joel when he realized that you could actually have a soul mate. I love the song meaning for this its reassurance in solid form - from the mind body heart & soul ♡
One of my co-workers asked me who my favorite musician was....I told her that if I had to just choose one, it would be Billy Joel. She gave me this shocked look, told me that was good lol She started talking to me about how most people my age(20) usually wouldn't get into Billy Joel. Unfortunately I have to agree with her, but I love looking through the comments and seeing the younger people enjoying it along with the ones who get nostalgia from it :) It makes me happy.
I don't by any means believe let alone even think that I can both neither argue nor fail to agree with the message of this great song - Mr.Billy Joel definitely can not only entertain the listener but furthermore even educated him or her with his wisdom and intelligence;BJ's music is very great because of his gift as such a powerfully and wonderful musician His career legacy as a exstreamly smart music man is forever legendary.I think perfect in this so much that no one can quarrel with it fans and expert credics alike.

that was the point
The song is a tribute to the Motown sound.
With the Mitus touch,Joel takes to recording and preforming Very great music even better than a duck takes to water.
I wish I paid attention to this song long ago and understood. I just really liked this song. I'm listening now Billy!
Im 20 now and i'm in the exact same spot you were in, friend.
Thank you Billy - I just told her her...and we are together now :D
omg B.J MAKES PEOPLE HAPPY WITH LOVE! HOPE U ARE HAPPY WITH HER!
Wow usually it backfires so well done and congrats on having the stones to go for it
I feel happy for you, it didn't work for me :/
good on you mate
maxmoonstone liar
A feel-good Motown song released in 1983. Epic.
Listen boy
I don't want to see you let a good thing
Slip away
You know I don't like watching
Anybody make the same mistakes
I made
She's a real nice girl
And she's always there for you
But a nice girl wouldn't tell you what you should do
Listen boy
I'm sure that you think you got it all
Under control
You don't want somebody telling you
The way to stay in someone's soul
You're a big boy now
You'll never let her go
But that's just the kind of thing
She ought to know
Tell her about it
Tell her everything you feel
Give her every reason to accept
That you're for real
Tell her about it
Tell her all your crazy dreams
Let her know you need her
Let her know how much she means
Listen boy
It's not automatically a certain guarantee
To insure yourself
You've got to provide communication constantly
When you love someone
You're always insecure
And there's only one good way
To reassure
Tell her about it
Let her know how much you care
When she can't be with you
Tell her you wish you were there
Tell her about it
Every day before you leave
Pay her some attention
Give her something to believe
'Cause now and then
She'll get to worrying
Just because you haven't spoken
For so long
Though you may not have done anything
Will that be a consolation when she's gone
Listen boy
It's good information from a man
Who's made mistakes
Just a word or two that she gets from you
Could be the difference that it makes
She's a trusting soul
She's put her trust in you
But a girl like that won't tell you
What you should do
Tell her about it
Tell her everything you feel
Give her every reason
To accept that you're for real
Tell her about it
Tell her all your crazy dreams
Let her know you need her
Let her know how much she means
Tell her about it
Tell her how you feel right now
Tell her about it
The girl don't want to wait too long
You got to tell her about it
Tell her now and you won't go wrong
You got to tell her about it
Before it gets too late
You got to tell her about it
You know the girl don't want
To wait, you got to
Tell her about it
What's up Dude G

This is basically a guide on how to confess to your crush. Phenomenal
Mannn Billy really hit it out of the park with this gem of a song ! The lyrics are totally on point and might i say greatly needed in these turbulent times ! Thanks so much Mr. Joel !
Esta canción me ayudó a declararle mis sentimientos a mi crush
Entonces gracias Billy Joel
I miss music when it was this innocent and carefree. Fun tunes, catchy beats and meaningful lyrics. No sex, drugs, over-sexualized dancers, and people of different ethnicities dancing together. Times were much simpler back then.
Billy this song saved probably the best relationship I was ever in. These a golden wise words! Fuck being a tough guy, that doesn't work shit. Be vulnerable towards the woman you love and you'll get everything in return!
Everyone remembers 'Uptown Girl' but it was this song that actually went to number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100!
One of my favorite Billy Joel songs. Real, honest words
I feel like this song is talking directly to me

...and they say Elvis is the king of rock. All of Billy Joel's songs are classics that sticks to your mind and always seem to make your day whenever you hear or think about any of them.
edit: Had to mention how beautiful some of the women in this clip are.
Un excelente músico!!! Uno de los mejores,aún no se le rinden los homenajes q merece.
💯💥
Classic 80s videos that can't be made the same again.
Great song has a lot of meaning if you just sit and listen to it.
Thanks Joel, for being in so much control.
Video really helped to push Billy's career to the level it deserves...It's amazing, to see he's still touring...I didn't appreciate him in the 70's...He was kind of bubblegum to a prog head like me. But; I get a lump in my throat, quite often on many of his songs now...
