This movie is base on Akshays history exam paper in school days'....were the examiner gave him full marks for a new history on the making of Prithviraj.
This kind of movies makes me angry & sad. I'm highly interested in history since my childhood & when someone make movie on history & manipulate that it's horrifying.
They will soon come up with the explanation that prithviraj is a superhero in its own alternate universe. Then there is no stopping of the producers to even showcase him with Udham Singh or participating in modern day politics 😂

What are the positives in the movie madam? As mentioned by you, historically there is no reference to colour of flags or hats used in Prithviraj's era.. So which colour should the director choose according to you and why?

Just watched this movie without knowing anything about it. I enjoyed it. It wasn't great and it wasn't terrible. And hey, I found this video and learned somethings. As for the historical accuracy of the film, well, I enjoyed Braveheart too.

I am really surprised on the hatred Prithviraj Chauhan is getting. Not the movie but the man. Movie is definitely a poor representation but why people are hell bent on demeaning the great warrior.
It is sad reality that all our native rulers were defeated but what we celebrate is their valour, their greatness, their courage. Likewise, same goes for Rani Laxmibai. We know that she lost and finally succumbed to her injuries. But that does not take away the courage she showed. Captain Hugh Rose himself applauded her.
Don't humiliate the heroes in an attempt to be seen as a scholar or intellectual.
No one is demeaning the rulers but you can't create an alternate reality in name of glorifying their valor. Prithviraaj was defeated and killed by Ghori who lived to establish the Delhi Sultanate. Full stop. All accounts of him shooting an arrow at Ghori is false and historical fraud.Similarly Maharana Pratap lost to the Mughals and died a recluse. He did not even slightly weaken Mughal rule over India. Creating alternate history does not make winners out of loosers.

Does not agree with the architectural point and the jauhar point. For example the Tanjavur Temple or Chola dynasty or even the Angkor Wat architecture whose technology went from India to South East Asia. And Jauhar was always seen as an act of pride. Pride was always more important than becoming sex slaves.

samrat prithviraj chauhan was released and was made tributary ruler of ghori..
It was not about hindu muslim rivalry..
Samrat prithviraj chauhan was chauhan( not hindu ) and Mohammad ghori was tajik( not muslim)
There is no mention of colors in historical accounts so they movie makers are wrong to use saffron and green/black( how the hell is it wrong if it is not even mentioned considering it is a movie)
