God I love this port. One of the things that doesn't get talked about imo, is the Genesis has better Cutscenes than the SNES port. I always love the animation when you score a touchdown via pass play. Awesome Playthrough man!

Tecmo Bowl is a childhood memory for me besides Madden, I could play this game for hours. I remember when my cousins and myself used to do tournaments to see who comes out on top!!! Ahhhh great memories!!!

I think a lot of Tecmo fans that are purists prefer the NES version because of this. The CPU would always be juiced up and harder to beat at the end of the season. This version was always my favorite though as far as graphics/animation as well as being able to go into GM mode. In order to make this competitive what you really need to do is create at least 1-2 super teams that you play against during season/playoffs. Also, head to head vs friends was really competitive in this version.

I had the Nintendo and the super Nintendo versions. Nintendo tecmo super bowl (not to be confused with the first tecmo bowl) is definitely best
