These servo winches are so strong. I got a reefs rc one in my cross ural build and had the line out and wrapped around the log cart when I turned the unit on the first time it just started winding luckily the trailer wasn't bolted to the frame it had some give there but it snapped the line I thought it was gunna cut the truck in half.

That's a Great Mod for a Budget Servo Winch, I've found the Reef's Micro Servo Winch to be Really Effective and without the neutral slippage is worth the investment. i got two servos that will buzz when turned and freeze turned unless i trim them straight(axial)
Why not buy a 360 degree servo winch? Then u can run it off 5 or 6. That way u can control the speed of the servo.

Hi Dave, i dont think I resoldered any wires..its just a matter of removing the stopper pin in the servo gears to get full rotation.

It can't hold it because the potentiometer is removed & the control board doesn't know where it at.
Is there a way to make it work with the potentiometer and have it hold?
