For the final spot of the 3rd team, let me explain why it should be Jaylen Brown…
Zion was meh for 3 quarters of the season before turning it up, and he’s missed double digit games
Haliburton has *fell off* since the allstar break. In these last 2 months he’s been averaging 17 and 9 on 44/30/86 shooting. He also missed double digits games as well
Sabonis has played every game and has put up numbers, but I believe they are net 0 with Sabonis’ on/off over the year and his defense is atrocious for a big man, and they have fallen to the 8-seed with a chance to still fall to the 9th or 10th seed.
Now for Brown, he was already a 2nd team All-NBA player last year and yet he has *gotten FAR better* this year. His numbers look like he has come down, but that is strictly due to the talent the team added and the sacrifice that each player on the Cs have made for wins. (Tatum, KP, Jrue, Al, and Brown all their numbers are down from last year, but they all have gotten better individually)
Also Jaylen is *by far* the best defender of these 4 guys, like by far, he might make All-Defense. And they are gonna be the only team that has 60+ wins. Even if I felt one of these other guys were close to being over Jaylen, the wins argument serves as a strong tiebreaker to choose Jaylen over the other guys.
(P.S. also Rudy no way in hell is making All-NBA if he wasnt even an Allstar 😂)

Crazy how Luka wasn’t winning enough as the 8th seed. But now he’s gonna win 50+ games and the 5th seed while having the most starting lineup changes in the league (most used lineups with SGA 700+ minutes, Jokic 800+ minutes, Luka 150+ minutes). But give it to a guy that doesn’t care and told the world Luka was the MVP…
Luka didnt get to the 5th seed until help arrived. I wouldnt credit him for getting them to the 5th seed. Credit him for getting them to the 8th seed until help arrived. BIG difference.

@@dontAtMe69420 We were the 5th seed at the start of the season before everyone got hurt (November - January). Also Jokic and Westbrook didn’t win 50 games for either of his MVP’s. And you’re taxing Luka for bringing on the best team he’s been on, while Jokic hasn’t had his for 2 years…
@@bongo2282 because he’s a center and it’s easier to put up better numbers because he can be more efficient naturally. Also, Jokic isn’t top 10 in scoring and Luka has more assists. You can say he has a high usage, but all of our ballhandlers (Dante n Kyrie) were out at the same time (after Dante started a couple games, he got hurt n Kai was already out)

MVP is not a team award and the league (rightfully so) has moved away from "best player on best team". Tatum has done nothing aside from the record of his historical supporting cast to be above Giannis, Shai, Luka and Jokic. Tatum is an easy 5th but he shouldn't be in actual contention for the award.

I'm sure that even Jokic himself would be happier if Luka won MVP instead of him, despite that, Joker is more valuable to Denver than Luka is to Dallas. It's just so unlucky for Luka that Joker exists, Luka has been insane this season and for sure deserves the recognition but taking him over Joker feels like an emotional take rather than a logical one. At the end of the day I'm just gald both of them are leading the MVP race this year. P.S. Giannis is still top tier and deserves to be mentioned.
