I have immo problem can used ecu with the keys help follow your video??
Are VIN numbers stored on Mercedes 1999 and earlier.? And can they see in star system only my 1999 kompressor will not show any vehicle info like VIN through OBD2 cable.

Yes, you can do this in the car.
After coding, the message 40 engine starts appeared on the screen, does it mean that after 40 starts the engine will no longer start?
How does the star connect to the ECU? I was under the impression that it could only connect via obd plug or 38 pin connector.
You connect Star Diagnosis to the ECU based on the pinouts.

About the code Number you enter @1:25, it is the old code from old ECU or it have to be exactly the code you write on the video, this is confusing me so mutch X)...

You can do it in the car, and if you want on the table, you have to install it according to the pinouts you will find in the manual: carlabimmo.com/julie-manual

What multiplexer are you using? I thought HHT-WIN and star diagnosis in general can only be used with the C3, C4 etc. multiplexers.

You must have Star Diagnosis. This is the procedure and we recommend it.

@@evofx4029 Whether via OBD or via a 38-pin connector, it depends on the ECU and the car. If there is a 38-pin diagnostic connector in the car, you must also connect Star Diagnosis to it, and if there is OBD2, Star Diagnosis must also be connected to OBD2.

If I understood your question correctly, Star Diagnosis for MB should be used to perform this procedure.

Once the ECU has been personalized, can you just remove the emulator or does it have to still be connected for life of ECU?
In this case Emulator must stay in the ECU
