Brings back memories of all the hours I spent in that shop working on various cars and motorcycles. Keep it up!
Pretty cool stuff! I have a semi-daily, semi-project car that has bad rear lift supports too, and I definitely agree with your comments on that matter.
But yours is a GTO, a lot less to lift and probably a lot faster : P
Faster to lift, perhaps, but they certainly knew how to pack weight everywhere in that car! When the lift supports got bad in the winter, I got clonked on the head a few times; it is heavy! Luckily not Chrysler-Prowler-hood-heavy, though.
you may have to remove those rear hatch lifts again, in order to change the worn weather strip I just did it on my 1ga talon.
I've made that same fix on my 91 Eclipse. Totally agree that it makes the rest of the project easier. Now if I can only get the alternators to last longer than a year...
What are the overall goals for this car?
Really ready to see this thing done! When can I drive it?
Haha you can take it for a spin if you come out and help me get it running 😂
Neil Bullock I’m trying to come lol between having a pinched nerve back problems and just being busy it’s a tough world lol I’ll get there one day I promise
Welcome to adulthood man lol
Neil Bullock yeah it’s rough I’m already falling apart
Lmao I keep a pair of vise grips to hold my trunk up😂
My guy! How much were all those parts and my light motors aren't work bc it's been sitting. Thinking of just removing the lens infront on them. Thoughts?
About $400, I’ve got a video from last week up talking about what all I had to buy. I’m not sure how that would work for the lights, it does have a manual adjustment so you can run them up without the motors. It’s not great but until you can get motors for it that should do. Probably wouldn’t get nearly as much light on the road with them down and the lens removed.
How do I go about the manual adjustment?
Knobs right behind the headlights, you have to turn them a bunch to get them up. If you can’t find it check online for some diagrams.
Neil Bullock should be same positioning, I'm hoping. Are you keeping stock turbo also
Nope, going to a small 16g
I've got two 1Ga corner lights if you want them
Hey Tim! Thanks for offering but someone has already sent me the light, I really appreciate it though!
Neil Bullock No worries man I have a lot of spare parts for my 90 lying around
The corner marker was damaged by a shopping cart sailing across a Walmart parking lot one night 😔
Lol it happens 🤷🏻♂️ I’ll find a new one somewhere!
i have your passenger light
Hey Eric! Thanks but someone is already sending me one, I really appreciate it!
