Pugilism 101 Right Cross: A simultaneous right hand or overhand right counter thrown against the opponents jab (at the same time). This crosses the left and right arms of two "orthodox" or right handed boxers.

Someone hit you that hard your first time out? That’s not good. Coaches shouldn’t have you under heavy fire until you can see the shots coming enough to adequately defend yourself. The goal should always be the acquisition of skill so your partners should have control until you’re more experienced.

Tell your partner immediately that he punches too hard. It is dangerous for your health.

If I can't land my cross, I make sure I land another strike.

When you throw your right hand the shoulder goes up and should cover your chin so no need to wory about getting hit - see videos of punchers like Thomas Hearns or Wilder. Somehow the coach does not show the basic boxing stance with chin down and hands up taht would fix it all.

I don't like to intrude, but since you made this clip public, I'll venture to give my two cents. If you want to be a good puncher, go to a legitimate boxing gym. There you'll quickly learn how to punch with proper bio-mechanic movements, You'll punch quicker, more precise, and with more power. You'll become better at blocking and evading punches. You'll be ingrained with proper foot work. Queensbury boxing rules.
