    What a sync, I cooked the same Ladies Finger Fry today in Iron Pan for the first time. Followed Hema's Kitchen's instruction for seasoning it though.

      You can use liquid dish wash pa to clean …black will go off in few days . Best for poriyal / varuval .best to avoid pulipu items .

    Thank you very much for your tips .... I am not Indian but my Indian friend give me a new Kadai as a gift :-) , I want to ask you about some thing.. you said that we have to remove food from kadai once we finished cooking because of the iron nature which will make food dark and my harm our health ( as I understood) ... but if I have fired a potatoes should I remove the oil from kadai once finished ? or can I leave it for the second firing process which may be after several days?

    Very useful tips. I bought 2no new iron pan, so I was about to ask for maintaining. Very nice heavy once. Can I cook chicken in that. Because we will add tomatoes. Here USA we will get pan shape only. But very heavy and deep also.we also thinking of using iron vessels. Thankyou.😊😊😊😊💐💐💐

      yes ma..u can cook chicken..initially cook food without tomatoes ma...after many times of usage seasoning would have become strong and then u can cook with tomatoes..happy that u got iron pan..yes in USA pan would be of very good quality ..u r lucky ma

    Mam really nice videos... pls help me... I also bought a black iron dosa tawa and an iron kadai yesterday. But my kadai is like silver in color. I don't know if it's good or not. Its is not black like yours... I dont know can i use it directly after washing with soap for the first time??? And if not then what do i need to do. Pls mam reply....

      ok ..initially it will be like silver color before cooking.. when you use it it starts becoming black in color..so no problem

    Heard making puli kulambu in iron kadai is tasty. You mentioned not to use puli. Is it just in the beginning or never to use puli on it at all?

      hi ma..initially in new kadai it happens , each time wash well and maintain it without rust ..in 1 week of continuous usage black disappears gradually ma ..

      oil apply panitu apdiye vitudanum..after each usage since rust wont be formed in oil coating..next time use panrapo u can wash and use it before cooking
      normal sunflower oil use panunga
      ist time onion fry throw paniranum...then u can cook in any oil

      I do like this when sambar is made I boil tamarind juice and tomato seperately and take out the sambar from iron kadai mix it
      It will be good

      after rinsing wipe it off without water and dry ma..so that rust won't form

      u can ma...initial 1 week of use u will fell it ..but after that black color disappears the u use pan regularly

      iron pan is not recommended for gravy ma....iron is best for poriyal, varuval ...after seasoning new pan , till 2 weeks u may experience that black ...after using and cleaning each time with dish wash liquid will make it good..after 2 weeks of usage u won't experience that black and maintain it well after each cleaning...wipe off the water to prevent from rust...rust will cause that black color ma

      you clean it maintain it by applying oil so that it won't get rust

    Hello Mam, can we cook bottle gaurd kind of veggies by adding water to boil, that is usual process I cook those veggies. The problem is when I'm cooking such veggies the food is turning black, I seasoned the kadai. I'm using iron for first time and very new to cooking, so very much scared.

      I RECOMMEND iron pan for non gravy types if u get black color ma..u do stir fry types ma

    Mam,
    I bought a new iron kadai last week and simply washed and I used without cleaning it properly. I dont know. I cooked tomato. Now iam getting some smell from the kadai. Now only i saw your video. Now what should I do? Can I clean as you said? Is there any harm from the smell? Please suggest

    I used iron kadai before 2months for fish fry. But it is not ok to cook. Becas rust formed in its surrounding. What should I do?
