I love how rapidly Erik looks out at the floating cars as if to say “hey, that’s my power”

Michael Fassbender looks so cool in here
@@giovannyandrescortesrodrig2846The guy in this clip that plays Magneto is not Michael Fassbender, it's Ian McKellen. Michael plays younger Magneto, and Ian plays older Magneto.
@@quietreader4190you do realize the sarcasm right?
Jean’s telekinetic charm extends beyond mere metal 😉.
I like how Magneto immeditely pissed when the father says his daughter is just has illness.
"Illness? You think your daughter is sick?"
" Have you ever thought about not being a mutant? " 🤣
Because he always fighted for rights for mutants and runs brotherhood of mutants
@@HULKisZILLANo, it's because he genuinely believes mutants are far superior. He thinks like Sébastien Shaw. He is the more evolved one and a degenerate worthless male monkey is telling him they have an "illness". Now you see why he is annoyed.
Also Magneto's family was executed because they were "sick" or not the right race.
Yes. This IS the first de-aging scene ever filmed and produced for commercial purpose (Cinema).
@My Media Archive that’s like almost a ten year difference
wtf didnt know that. They look great
Is it really? That's a really cool fact, I honestly would have never expected it to be this, and all the way back in 2006? Really impressive

When are you going to stop lecturing me?
When you start listening.
I love those lines.
Well, Uncle Charlie is a genuine Ph.D. Comes with the territory. 🤣
Yeah I hope to have such sage and weighty convos with my best friend when we hit grandpappy age
These 2 had such great charisma together. Even in such a simple scene they convey years of friendship so simply
Bully Maguire: "stop lecturing me please!"
They’re such an old married couple.
I like how she says they’re not like her and then proceeds to lift a car, which is exactly something magneto can do
She lifts more than the cars. She lifts the water itself, showing she's lifting with telekinesis not magnetism. And she's able to read minds. Bit more than Magneto is capable of, though Magneto is no slouch
Jean is FAR more powerful than Magneto!
Jean Grey could separated all the molecules in Magneto's body while also completely destroying his brain with telepathy. They are not the same.
I think she was just showing him he wasn't special
She showed them that she could easily match their powers by reading his mind AND lifting the cars. She could do both easily and quickly and looked at them back because they had no idea what she do
Erik's reaction is absolutely golden... 'OH.. CHARLES... I like this one....
He probably said that because he only cares about certain mutants with very unique powers despite the fact that he cares about the wellbeing of mutantkind.
He IS Sebastian Shaw's son. And like his father figure he's drawn to power. Remember how he discarded Raven the minute she became human? Oh, Uncle Erik, you're such a messed up drama queen!
Short of giddy 😂
Reminds me of Aro from Twlight, only wants them for their unique abilities
He never seen one like that so young and powerful. Charles knew he said she's the ONLY class 5 level mutant he ever encountered means she's practically limitless she can do infinity rearrange create reorder physical world and unseen.
She's real cute, i used to have an outfit like that, my grandma bought it, took pictures in it, thought it was the cutest outfit ever, we bought it at a swamp meet, she paid like $50 over 3 decades ago I thought that was a lot until I seen Jean Grey wearing it then I realized she underpaid. I never wore such cute outfit again until i see her wearing it here so cute the little vest. My hair, she reminds me of me, it's the way I wore my hair down.

Who else got confused after watching First Class seeing who he got paralyzed and yet in this scene he is walking and it takes place after first class
Even worst, why ismagneto is with him, he abandon charles in first class.
Also in the apocalypse jean was already in the school while Xavier was quite young and has hair on his head 💀
to add to that, the dark phoenix movie also showed that jean’s parents were dead by a car crash. And then she got recruited by charles only. With hair and on a wheelchair after the incident. this can only mean that this happens in another multiverse or the directors just didn’t know or care about the timeline.
@@taniesaz2230days of future past changed the timeline. Xmen last stand was erased from history

Same
I love that little turn Erik does when he feels her inside his head
Different timeline?
The casting for Jean's parents was TIGHT
For those who don't know, Jean's father just so happens to be Adrian Hough, the voice actor for Nightcrawler in both the original animated series and X-Men '97.
@nicksojka7457 he also voiced Haythem Kenway in Assassin's Creed III & Assassin's Creed Rogue
I like to believe that parents who thought their daughter had an "illness" wouldn't let her talk to two strange men alone and Professor X in fact controlled their minds to agree to them speaking to Jean alone.
they probably don't fear at all for her safety
That is not "his way"...
Never understood the fuzz with those CGI faces, look decent to me, especially for 2006
During my first watch of this movie in the theaters I never noticed it.
When I first watched this movie I never even noticed they used CGI faces 😂
Jean has a mixture of both Charles and Erik’s power. Charles can read and control minds, Jean can read peoples minds. Erik can control metal, Jean can but she can also control everything else.
Wrong!

No
She has telepathy as well as telekinesis which is rare, so she has a very powerful mind.
Yeah, I love this!
The title mentions a Stan Lee cameo but I know for a fact I'm not the only one who notices a Chris Claremont cameo. The guy who really made the X-Men what they are today, Stan Lee and even the late great Jack the King Kirby would admit that Chris's contributions put the X-men in the pop culture subconscious
I consider Chris Claremont the true father of X-Men.
The franchise didn't become what it is today until he started writing for it.
Fun fact: The actress who played young Jean Grey also played Gwen in Ben 10: Race Against Time.
This is the first cameo that I've seen with Stan Lee. Stan Lee is not the only comic book creator to make cameo in this movie or any other movies, because the guy, Chris Claremont
, who's seen mowing his grass is a comic book creator too.
Mine was his cameo in Spider-Man (2002).
Stan lee is in every marvel movie I thought?
Never knew about Chris Claremont till this comment?
Good catch. I never even noticed that.
He appears in EVERY movie!
Awww. I really love the brotherly bond that Magneto and Xavier share here. It’s both wholesome and heartbreaking knowing the paths they took. 🥺
Would have loved a movie with these two being professors at the school. No powers, just teaching the fundamentals. Really wishing they were my teachers back in the day.
The first thing she does is what Charles can do.
The Second thing she does is what Erik can do.
😂
Yes, you're "Like them"
Man, I love Charles and Erich rivalry/Friendship
I never understood WHY Magneto did what he did in X2! Why didn’t he rescue Charles instead of leaving him trapped in Cerebro?
@@matthewschwartz6607 it's not like that. Magneto wants revenge on Human. He wants what mutants felt minutes before could be feel by Human. Especially US President and the Colonel. You see that Magneto fix the 2nd Cerebro to make the stronger impact than it before.

1:03 Adrian Hough (John Grey): Nightcrawler from original animated X-Men series, Haytham Kenway from Assassin’s Creed
Adrian Hough did an amazing job as Haytham. Never knew he was in Xmen.
And X-Men '97
The more I look at the professor and erik the more they look like James MacAvoy and Michael Fassbender 😊
The harry potter scene, in which Dumbledore visits young Voldemort, always reminded me of this one. And most people forgot this scene exists
OH …. CHARLES… i like this one…. Of course its a mini you hahaha
So there's a huge error in the prequels, because they had Xavier in first class lose his ability to walk before losing his hair
Yeah sadly this series severely lacked consistency and continuity
Watch the scene again, but this time around think of Charles being in Cerebro the whole time. Erik was driving, opening gates and everything.. He even was like, "why am I here? Are we going to meet them all in person?".
To me, it felt like Erik didn't want to go around recruiting, physically, while Charles was doing it mentally, from Cerebro 🤷🏽♂️"
@@jorgej.cruzhernandez9247 Nope, the prequel creators just forgot this scene there's more continuity errors too like how Jubilee is a teenager in the prequels and original

Don't really make sense
Erik's reaction was like finding a lost puppy and wanting to keep it
Kind've retcons the whole hit in the spine by the bullet thing
I miss you 3000 Stan Lee
U know this movie made first class even confusing. Charles lost his legs at the end of first class and Erik already separated from Charles at the end of first class. Sure X-men days of future past changed the timeline but before the timeline changed how the heck did first class have Charles losing his ability to walk when last stand we see him walking.
This is 20 years before the events in last stand.
@@blacklion8133 but this is years after first class
@@Tradetek1 you're right....I'm just trying not to ruin my child hood. Lol
The wiki said this is in the original timeline
years after Magneto got captured because of JFK(we saw in DOFP but since its original timeline Logan is not there to free him) , Charles himself frees him and they both reconcile and proceed to reopen the School together
Up until they met child Jean where things started to go south
Charles want to put a barrier on her mind and this angers Erik
This causes a rift between them and eventually Erik left the school
Fast forward and then you'll get the Xmen 1(rogue and wolverine)
They were friendlier here than in the first two movies , we never saw their background then. THIS is what we needed to see !
Why did everyone hate this movie? This is good stuff here .

How could this have happened if Charles and Erik split up.
The ages in these movies are inaccurate
It hadn't happened yet
@@maadtee6281 it's rewriting the original story, the first or second Xmen comic book is about the team finding Jean Grey as an adult who joins their fighting team from then on.
@@maadtee6281 But then why wasn't Jean in First Class?
@@misschienlater3481 different timeline
There's another longer cameo here... Jean's dad is played by Adrian Hough. He voiced Nightcrawler in the 90s X-Men series and reprised it for X-Men 97. Maybe he's just cast normally as an actor and not from intentionally being an X-Men veteran, but it's a really cool fact.
That's okay , but I wanna know how the heck is Charles able to walk though he was hit by the deflected bullet ?
The original movies and the prequels take place in alternate timelines. The relationship between mystique and the xmen in the original trilogy vs the prequels is a glaring example of the differences.
@@-Keith- but First Class takes place in the same timeline as the originals
@@SarcyBoi41 Yeah, but First Class wasn't made or even thought to be made by the time X men 3 came out.
Truthfully, I thought about this too and how the timeline makes no sense. First Class takes place in the early 1960's, but X1 and X2 (original timeline) were in the late 90's, early 00's. This means "twenty years ago" (now ~1980's) meant Charles couldn't walk and simultaneously use his powers at that point. Technically, this could have still happened if: A) Charles took medicine to walk and therefore could not use his powers, like in Days of Future Past and B) Him and Magneto had reconciled, even if only briefly.
Obviously, it's just a movie and they can do whatever artistic licensing this wish, but I thought about this even before you made this comment.
What I don’t understand is how is Charles walking? And also why are he and Magneto together when they split up in the 60s? Ik the time line got changed but thats after days of future past. This is before anything got changed and so if First Class. I also know that everyone knows the continuity is bad, I just can’t help but point it out.
Eric is like "she is like you and me combined. I am definitely using her for my evil schemes."
Forming the X-Men must've been real stressful went from James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender to Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen 😂😂😂
They're still an old married couple.
You have more power than you can imagine.
Will you control your power or let it control you?
That was probably his way of saying "I'm terribly sorry, Jean. But to tell you the truth, I'm VERY scared of you. Your powers are not only a danger to yourself, but the entire world. I am really here to put psychic blocks on your mind so your powers will be permanently set at a mediocre level and you will be under my thumb at my school because no Class V-leveled mutants like you should ever be above me at all."
Wouldn’t it be really cool to have James McCavoy and Michael Fassbender to recreate the scenes in X-men: The Last Stand?
The deaging is kinda cursed compared to the deaging we see nowadays, though it must’ve been nice to be able to create this groundbreaking technology to make actors look younger for flashback scenes and now for films like The Irishman or Captain Marvel
The mother looks a lot like Famke Janssen
Looks like Captain Jean Luc Picard just got done on the Stargazer and got assigned to the Enterprise D.
this movie is a masterpiece when you compare it to dark fenix 😊
Or Apocalypse who just rold his eyes and was given a new power what ever the writers gave him.
This one scene is the only reason the fox timeline doesn't work
how can the professor walk if he loses the use of his legs in X-man: The Beginning?
In days future past Beast said he created a liquid that can block their mutation at some point and with that Charles was able to walk but Charles used more than what it needed so he could block all his powers... Here I think he used enough to walk and be able to use part of his powers..
And you saw magneto got separate from Charles long ago when they were young... Maybe Charles felt danger with this mutant so he called Magneto after all this years just to be with him just this time and that's why magneto said "I don't know why I am here"
@@ryogahibiki7806 I think Magneto said that because he does not care much for very young people.
@@ryogahibiki7806 i thought that too but i think the problem in the scene is that the actors are old in the form, and in the X-Men Apocalypse are younger and Charles has hair seeing Jean teenager struggle with her powers although is the other timeline both facts. Doesn't change the fact that Charles and Eric had to be younger and Charles with hair seeing Jean as a kid. So i think it's a mistake with the actors since that Jean is growing and become a teenager, Charles and Eric growing too so they couldn't be so young in the X-Men Apocalypse.
Dude the timelines make absolutely no sense. NO SENSE. To try and connect the movies is useless.
It’s a plot hole unfortunately, unless this scene takes place before they recruit most of the X-Men.
They should remake this scene with James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender
2:06 Magneto's like "WHAT IN THE WORLD"
Jean Grey was so young and so cute as a mutant girl.
In this timeline jean is less traumatic. Cause the other jean killed her mom with her power
I'm so confused as to why Charles can walk
How is this happening if they first met Jean in 1986 but we see Jean in X-Men Apocalypse as a teenager inside Charles school in 1983. The prequels make no sense.
The franchise as a whole has numerous discrepancies such as the first X-Men as Xavier mention he met Erik at 17 years old but X-Men First Class contradicts this.
"Oh Charles. I like this one."
After watching the classic x-men movies, and the new timelines, i gotta say, these timelines are confusing.
Add a comment...Rude right to read our minds without our permission.
What?
The timelines are mad in xmen
This is why telekinesis is OP, the range is all over the place.
The de-aging on Charles Xavier & Magneto looks like todays influencers with too much heavy make up on 🤣
We just don't even deserve Stewart and Mckellen
James Mc Avoy did such a great rendition here
There is a plot hole , Charles is supposed to on a chair , he Lost his ability to walk way younger than this.
Also Chris Claremont is in this scene.
It's kinda similar vibes like Dumbledore meets Tom riddle in Deathly Hallows 1 as a kid.
It's too bad that two more scenes of Ororo / Storm and Scott / Cyclops as kids weren't also included.
They should get James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender to redo this scene in front of a green screen, overlay their footage onto Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan the same way Tom Hanks was put into all that historical footage for Forrest Gump, and re-release it as the "The De-Aging Doesn't Suck So Bad in this Version" edition.
fucking christ, Michael and James aged pretty quick XD
There is a mistake in x-men first class we saw that xavier had paralysis when he was young but here he is walking as if nothing has happened
"I still don't know why I'm here."
🤣🤣🤣🤣
I love that line.
Why has no one made an edit of this scene with McKellen and Stewart being deepfaked with Fassbender and McAvoy

Yeah the timelines are so weird
Reboot timeline.
Charles also became paralysed when he was younger.
Yea and in dark phoenix charles meets a child jean while he is still young
You know i have a theory on why Charles lost his hair in the original timeline, I believe that the serum which Charles used to make him walk again but made him lose his powers at the same time also made him lose his hair in the process cause how much serum he was taking.
thats impressive deaging for 2006
Erik was there physically, driving, opening doors and gates, complaining about being there and having to do this "in person"...
Charles was in Cerebro the whole time...
There 🤷🏽♂️
Crazy thing to think about is if this were to take place now her parents probably wouldn't let them have a private conversation with her.
This is pretty much what AI looks like now
funny how charles can walk but he was handicaped like earlier then that
When I saw the water rising I realized that cant be magneto at first I thought he was showing off.
The one thing i dont understand is in this movie charles and erik look old but when they again show jean in dark phoenix charles and erik are young ... plus charles had hair when jean's parent died 😂 still confused if it's a mistake or something I don't understand...?
Back when Charles and Eric were young studs
Prof X and Magneto sat as Mando entered with Baby Yoda
Prof X: "How strong is he?"
Baby Yoda uses the force to lift cars, light candles, summon a dog to him
Now, just like Star Wars, they will reshoot the scene with Fassbender and McAvoy lol
How the heck is Prof X walking?
i couldnt figure this one out. must be continuity error
It's before he lost use of his legs. And forget about the prequel films, they make no sense.
@@Bardim18 yes and he still didn't had hair 🤣
@@ImranShaikh-to1we Xavier lost his hair back when he was a teenager because of his mutant power in the comics.
Just tie loose ends, in DOFP 70's Charles uses a serum that suppresses his powers in exchange for walking, so most likely here he is taking a more advanced serum that allows him to walk but only weakening his powers not suppressing them, later it is inferred that he stops taking the serum so he doesn't have limitations using his powers.
I need to see Dark Phoenix again, hope this ties into it.
