An analysis of the painting by Pieter Brueghel the Younger, in the Musee des Beaux Arts in Brussels. For the Lent Conversation at The Well Christian Community, Brussels.
This is actually called The Fight Between Carnival and Lent. The painting titled The Battle Between Carnival and Lent is a later piece by Molenaer about the same subject.
The painting in the video is by Pieter Brueghel the Younger, a copy of one his father, Pieter Brueghel the Elder did. The Elder's painting is in the Kunsthistorisches Museum, Vienna and is easily picked by the corpse in the bottom RH corner - covered by a white sheet in the Younger's painting.
The loud music interferes with the commentary. The music needs to be toned down!
Yes, please!
the voice over does not follow the images. there is a lapse. The image runs in front of the explanation.
This painting although well described in the video has one vital flaw! -It was painted by Pieter Brueghel the Elder!
Why is that a flaw? Would it better if someone else had painted it?

Ooops other way round. The Elder's painting's corpse is covered by a sheet!
what is the point of the loud music?
Thank you for that...
Espetácular.
