This video looks at the works of the Flemish artist Pieter Bruegel the Elder, and the relation of his work to his native Flanders, and the eventual revolt against Spanish Habsburg rule.

Thank you for making this video. Pieter Bruegel was my first true inspiration when I discovered his work through art books in about 2007. Well into the mid-stages of my art career, I still look to parts of his work for inspiration. I can tell that he was having a lot of fun while painting. It comes through in the finished spirit of the work.

great summary of Bruegel's artworks. The abrupt ending, however, should anticipate a second part? hopefully so!

Many thanks for your kind comment. I'd like at some point to look at the works by other members of the Brueghel family, but unfortunately I'm not yet sure when that would be.
