Great video again Keith with interesting finds. Len
Hi Len, thanks for that mate, appreciated. I used a new video editing programme for the first time so hope the quality looked decent on screen. Cheers. 😀
Well done, Keith, Some lovely finds there, mate. Enjoyed the video.
Thanks Kevin, I ditched the obsolete original "Windows Movie Maker" that I've been using for my videos. It came out in 2000 lol. This video was made using Wondershares latest video editing package called Filmora 11. I'm slowly getting to grips with it. Cheers mate.
Cracking finds there Keith...
Thanks Allen, hope all is good your end.
Lovely finds matey, hope you find lots more.
Thanks my friend, I'm glad you enjoyed it. ATB.

Thanks Geoff, hopefully get better when I learn the editing programme more. Cheers.
Awsome finds there hopeus maximum great video 👍😊HH
Thanks Craig ATB mate.
great finds Kieth
Thanks Chris mate.
Great video as always, Keith. The pin you found had a nice Saxon feel to it.
Hi Tobias, yes i agree, the nearest I've found is a lead pin - early medieval/Anglo Saxon from the 700's. I created this video from a new editing programme so am pleased with how I got to grips with so fast. Cheers.
Great video Keith.
Thanks Pip!!! 😝
Some great finds there...and it's great to see your Saxon coin again...it's a shame there were no measurements to the Iron age piece in the members finds ...no idea of size of the item, a great collection of finds again...well done to you sir & well done to your members...all the best GL&HH Gordon.
Hi Gordon, thanks for watching... The Iron Age piece is about 3"x 3" mate and the link in the video description shows a similar type which is attached to the remnants of the bucket. Cheers HH & ATB.
That shield nickel is in better shape than ones found in the States!!!
I didn't even know what country it was from till I cleaned it up... I felt embarrassed not recognising straight away it was an American coin. I also found an American silver dime dated 1889 a few years ago. It was on land a joining an army ranges in Wiltshire, England so that would have a story to tell. Cheers and ATB.
Met you in Cerne this week, would love to see that video. Fascinating stuff! Annie
Hi Annie. Unfortunately I wasn't recording our actual chat when we met in the field. Hope you enjoyed this video though. In the next video I should be showing a friends spectacular find he made somewhere in Dorset. It's a solid gold medieval Elizabeth I Quarter Angel coin. A rare find indeed and I'll be photographing and hopefully recording it. If you have subscribed to my channel AND pressed the bell icon you should receive a notification when I post a new video. I only do about 1 video per month so watch this space. All the best and thanks for watching and commenting. Keith.
this is what I love about metal detecting, its about history. And your video is one of the best I've seen, I subscribed. Here in New Zealand we only have about 300 years of metal history.
Hi Clancy, thanks very much for the great comment and of course for the subscription. It's important to not only make the finds, but to explain what they actually are as it puts "meat on the bones" so to speak and educates people who don't know. You say that in New Zealand there is only about 300 years of metal history - that makes me feel very lucky to live in such a rich historical place as I do. Do you go out metal detecting there, if so, have you found anything interesting? ATB Keith.
@@HOPEUSMAXIMUS I find WW1 badges, a cricket buckle(1860ish) 0ld English coins, artefacts, musket balls etc. Only colonial stuff.
@@clancyseven But it's still your history mate and I get great enjoyment finding a nice artefact and doing the research... And like this old video shows... you just never know what's under your feet! ua-cam.com/video/Pl-gtKEGab0/v-deo.html

Hi David, thanks for watching. ATB Keith.
Very Impressive as always mate excellent use of your new editing software highly interesting and educational edition to your already highly acclaimed and professional collection of your metal detecting adventures. U tube should hold yearly award honours like they do in films and alike as the contributions you and others make to us the viewers does warrant acknowledgement and recognition for the hard work given for the benefit of others. Well done
Well thank you Nigel, I'm deeply touched by you kind comments. Next video should be a good one too... a gold medieval hammered coin!!!
fantastic video keith as usual, specially the club members finds l luv to see those. I noticed that you was in the hot program with the H F coil, did you tweek it or left it as is ? keep up the good work m8. [ THE GEORDIE BOY ]
Hey up lad... 😀 thanks for the comments Keith. The next video I post in a few weeks should include a stunning members find of an Elizabeth I gold quarter angel... now that IS a bit special! I use the stock settings on the H F coil, "except" I alter the sensitivity to get the best ground feedback I can before it gets too chattery. And if a field is producing say hammereds or romans I also flick through the frequencies to see which setting gives the best signal for a set type of find. Cheers mate. Keith.
Looking forward to seeing that one m8
I have a cross crosslet groat are they rare.
Hi, there are many factors that come into play. The monarch obviously, the condition, the mint mark and other variances that may be on a coin. Only a coin expert can give accurate information mate.
@@HOPEUSMAXIMUS
Mine is a elizabeth the 1st crosslet long cross. Very good condition. Julian from treasure hunt magazine said its the best example he's seen in 30 years of writing the magazine and Detecting. I'm unable to send you pictures on UA-cam I don't think I can anyway
Yes, it's great to find a coin in exceptional condition 🙂... Unfortunately UA-cam is comments only and doesn't allow attachments. ATB Keith.

Have you a email I can send you a picture to off it.
I would prefer not to put my email address on here... but if you "friend request" me on Facebook I can accept and then you can send me photos. I can ask my friend for an accurate I.D. but I'll need excellent photos of both sides and the measurement across in mm.
