JT you’ll have to show us some more detail on just how that rim mounts to cause it to stick like that. I own John Deere and a Farmall M , those drive wheels are mounted with lugs. Great job so far.
Jt looks like you have the same mess while working on something. What should be fairly easy ends up being absolutely as difficult as it can possibly be, so good luck brother.
Excellent video JT :) also yes some tire get of rims & putting back task to and have had my share to included! I said to lots place work for doing tires said owners run should be took off and on lots for 5 years for each tires of any vechiles so be easy to do when needed repairs or replacement! Yes be costly but much better and to less problems!
Great ending and I guess after all those years she just did not want to give up her wheel as for the rain we are the same way here in Tn buy that is ok it’s better then 30 miles from me they had tornados keep up the great videos .
JT I got to give it to you the ending was not only funny but creative. I really think Hollywood is under serious threat from You Tube creators like yourself. As Harold from ARW would say KO-KO (Keep on Keeping on.) .
I watched the whole video and it moves on to the next one before I can post. Anyhow a great video and a very tuff danger-est job. best thing you did was buy that fork lift. message to self next project fix the jerky clutch.
Turned into a tricky job like most do when we know what we want do but stuff gets in the way. I'm pleased you persisted; clearly shooting the tire and bolts also failed. Bit sketchy; you are worth more than our content so be safe! Regards from Eyre Peninsula, South Australia.
Thanks for sharing JT. I feel your pain. Hard to do everything on your own and that is what I unfortunately have to do. As soon as you brought the forklift into the picture, I thought, wow, smart buy and glad JT took the time to get that up and running. Smart move. I busted a gut at the end. Enough so my wife came over to see what I was laughing about. Have a blessed weekend.
Dad bought a Case 4690 a while back, then turned around and bought a 4890 with a bad transmission too. I asked why? Turns out the 4890 had the wide rims already added like you have. Dad said the factory 18.4-34 tires were $1200 each plus $300 tubes and the big ones were basically free at the junkyard off combines. He had a company come out and do his, because he knew it would be a fight to get them off the rims. The cost of the tractor was equivalent to the cost of the four new 18.4-34 tires!
Hi JT it would have been a cool project to see you fix up The Mello yello she lifts pallets and tires and all sorts of other things she deserves some tlc🥰😀😀😀
If you drill or torch some holes a few inches back from the tip of your forks you can put a clevis on them and use it as a crane. The clevis will also stop a ratchet strap from slipping off the end.
Good Morning J T ,I'm thinking it's a lot safer that you didn't take all the wheels off at the same time. I once saw a guy remove all the wheels from a grain trailer, dollied down in shop, Whoops, the whole ass end fell off the blocks, luckily no one was hurt. Have a Great Day. 😊
Hey Joe,,,so,,where do we start?? The 1800 is gonna turn into a grumpy old bastard. Otis is earning his keep. The shop is perfect. The gunslinger is laughing his duals off. Hot chick's and gunslinger. Definitely blue mountain madness. Cheers buddy 👍
I'll tell ya, I'm weirdly excited about this project for whatever reason. Grew up driving masseys (1100 and 175gp) All those wood blocks remind me of putting away the 1100 after mowing jobs because you never know if you picked up a small leak at some point. It kept the frame up in case one ran flat overnight. Thankfully never needed it.
If you don’t mind my asking about how much does it cost to have a tire like that removed and replaced? The forklift may not be perfect but wow what a genius purchase that has turned out to be. That last bit at the end was hilarious dude😂😂😂 I was dying. Be safe out there JT.
I feel your pain, I've managed to do my burn down spray and that's it, ground isn't solid enough even with duals and can't dry with all the rain this spring.
Clean and do the cabs interior on this one ,,its worth it I would say if everything else cks out great ,as you go thru it,,paint up some of your parts in the barn shop leaving your new one open for more service work and teardown, and so to keep the paint off the floors😊
As for the RR ad on the end. Don't worry JT. Rolls will haul 2 people, so wil the MAssey. A lot of that fancy finish material sounded like plastic, compared to the rusted steel and aluminum on the Big Girl. That Royce won't haul 15000 lbs. EVER! Both will take yer girl to the lake. The Fergy will pull the RR out of the lake. The Fergy will pull the RR into the lake, and laugh. The RR will slowly drive away from the lake quietly, calmly over gravel roads. The Massey will sit quietly, playing Nitty Gritty while you and the little honey, do a little "Fishin' In The Dark." Ifffin you know what I mean............ And a second thought, Take the forklift, lift the tire back up straight, put a stump where the center piece would sit, knock the wheel back over. Weight and a force in motion. MAybe, pop that center right out. Just a thought.
Nice one j.t. you need to save up get a over head crane to make your life easier. Get yourself a hydraulic power pack save you so much hassle and they can do so much for you. Great video as normal. From Andy in uk
I don't know if this will help you budski but when I have had vehicles that's the wheels don't want to come off what I do is loosen all the bolts but leave them in a few threads then drive the vehicle forwards and backwards and they have always come loose don't know if it will work with a tractor as never had to do one 😊....
I like to watch other people struggle with what is expected to be simple and quick. I run into that all the time, a two hour project turns into all day.
Geez J.T. you must be having a bad day. I was just messing with you. I sold tools for 40 odd years and believe it or not, there is a difference. A claw hammer doesn't have as hard a face as a ball peen. It's made for driving nails. A ball been hammer is made for hitting hardened surfaces. Anyway, I like your videos and lately I've noticed others besides yours where folks are using the WRONG hammer. I say it for your safety. A claw hammer might chip more readily than a ball peen and you only get 2 eyes. Anyway, have a great day and please do keep up the great content. I like it.
@@jtsbarnngrill6873 Do you have any tool trucks that come by anywhere around you? And I don't mean Matco. Snap-On, Mac or my favorite, Cornwell tools all sell great stuff. If you buy cheap tools, you will just have to buy them again. Anyway, to my point, run down one of those trucks and buy a couple of the popular sizes. 12, 16, 24, 32. ounce. That will save the handle if you miss your target. You won't regret it.
@@jtsbarnngrill6873 Well of those 2, I'd opt for the Snap-On. A bit pricier but they are always around. No matter where you go. If that tire really is the original to the tractor it's no wonder that it wouldn't come off easily. That's more than just rust at this point, it's fused on there. As the project gets frustrating remember how much easier it is with your new spacious shop, your smooth concrete floor, and your forklift for mechanical assistance with heavy parts. I'm looking forward to seeing the old girl all dolled up.
