The first step of conducting and publishing a study is identifying a previously unexplored area of research. But the big question is: how to decide which research problem should you study? Many researchers, particularly those who are at an early stage of their career, find themselves in a fix when they have to zero down on a research topic that is original and innovative. The best way to do this is to identify a gap in existing research in the field, i.e., finding a research gap!
In this video, I am talking to Dr. Farzana Quoquab who explains what is research gap and why it is needed? She also highlights the relevant aspects of identifying and presenting research gaps. In the end she provide insights into some common mistakes in presenting the research gap.

Hello.. liked your explanation. Have a question. In review papers , if i am writing about a process which has been covered by authors in previous research papers but they didn't cover how to implement the process, what are the challenges in implementation can it be considered a research gap. There are few online web articles on the implementation and challenges but not covered in research papers. I believe it will be considered a gap... Hope to hear from you

Much appreciated effort. But the video quality is so low and doesnt improve with any option. Plus voice very low.
The video is made by sharing screen and uploaded in a Full HD (1080P) format. For the voice, I just checked again and it seems fine on my end.
Yeah i just checked its fine on laptop screen. Voice of the host is a bit low however presenter is fine. I needed to search the article on service quality discussed in the presentation and in my phone i couldnt clearly catch it up. Thanks again
