I first heard this in my truck radio. Just before I was to reach up, and touch rock bottom. In my life in 1993. The LORD was there with me (-: and He raised up up.
Oh my! my youth choir at church sang this song like an opera and it was hall raising...just a glimpse of that glorious day in heaven...numerous, uncountable people with one voice! Amen Lord Jesus be glorified!!
This is a beautiful song. These men have PERFECT harmony. I sure miss George Yonce and Glen Payne but I’m comforted knowing they are in Heaven. In my opinion, Ernie Haase is one the best tenor singers in Souther Gospel music.
In the 1980's and throughout the 1990's they was the one Gospel group you had to go see! Nobody was right on the money like they was. Hottest Gospel Quartet ever! I seen them all couldn't none of them begin to stack up to the Cathedrals. No group today couldn't even begin to match up. It'll never be that good again. They was the talk of Gospel Music anywhere!
Sounds like a Hammond organ in the background. I hear Wedding Music in the atmosphere. I woke to this music in my consciousness last week. Such a joy-filled way to wake up!
I remember when this song hit #1 on the singing news charts back in November, December 1992 and January 1993, this was the song that put the Cathedrals back on the map, and all the awards came home soon after, no one else was more deserving to carry the Southern Gospel Music industry than the Cathedrals. They where the best Quartet ever. I do believe cut backs in travel and performances due to illnesses the group suffered did hurt them on the charts somewhat after that, but not on the awards.
I love the way George says it "See ya at the house". Sure do miss them all but I know they all singing in that Heavenly choir now! I love the song Goin away party by Jeff and Sherri Easter bc it is no sad goodbyes when you saved and know you to will join them round that Heavenly Throne! The more I think about Heaven the more I wanna shout bc I know it's going to be a grand ole day to make it to that land! I thank God for these pioneers who made this music come to life and this music has meaning behind it very powerful and in today's time music isn't like this anymore but it's this music I continue to listen to bc no matter what they take God out of here on this earth he's staying right here in my heart and I thank God for this music it has really helped me through some very Rocky rough places this life bright my way. Thank God he's been with me through it all! When my dad kicked me out and walked out of my life at age 15 God walked in and became not only my daddy but my Heavenly Father now then it was difficult to go through but today I will tell anyone God had reasons and plans for everything bc he created us in his image knowing now the best thing my dad ever did for me was turn his back on me bc when he stepped out my Heavenly Father took me in and I thank him for that!
They sang at a venue my Dad played as a 17 year old kid, not 2 miles from my home, in 1989. I was a college Freshman, Music Business major. ROGER Bennett was a major influence on my own piano style. Later, via email, we connected, via his Midnight Meditations LiveJournal, and he answered questions for me about his published version of "It is Well". I was subbing for a lady recovering from breast cancer surgery. ROGER was gracious, "Don't hurt yourself reaching for a tenth if you can voice it a different way and stay comfy... have fun. Finger it how it works easiest. Let me know how it goes, and how your piano friend recovers from her ordeal." He was shuttling to MD Anderson at the time. I shook his hand, at that venue in 1989. I am 5ft, 4in. His hands dwarfed mine, and we are both classically trained. He is sorely missed.
Is that wedding music I hear? The bride's adorned and ready to appear There's Heavenly preparation for the wedding celebration Is that wedding music that I hear? The family is preparing for a wedding All have been invited to attend The bride is standing ready, waiting for the signal When the Groom says, "Rise, my children, come on in" Is that wedding music I hear? The bride's adorned and ready to appear There's Heavenly preparation for the wedding celebration Is that wedding music that I hear? Soon we'll rise to leave this land of sorrow For that ceremony in the air The Father then will lead us through the holy land of splendor Have you made your preparation to go there? There's Heavenly preparation for the wedding celebration Is that wedding music Oh, is that wedding music that I hear?
I was there that night and it was a blessing! I must say I HATE the way Ernie sings this and most everything else though! REMEMBER to each his own!!! RIP Glen and George
KInda funny in 2:50, Ernie got a really gay pose, combined with his purple tuxedo... Anyway, this is one of the best songs of this Cathedral´s lineup, really blessed!!!
I first heard this in my truck radio. Just before I was to reach up, and touch rock bottom. In my life in 1993. The LORD was there with me (-: and He raised up up.

This is my favorite version of this song, too, sung by my favorite quartet, the Cathedrals. I sure miss them...especially Glen and George.

LOVE THIS. Of course, I loved just about everything the Cathedrals sang.
Wow! What a song to praise the Lord with. I can hardly wait to see his kingdom and all my loved ones that have gone home to be with him
Roger's Floyd Cramer licks in this are what made the tune. I loved his playing.
George Younce had a magnificent voice, and he is singing in God's choir......preparing the Bride!
Had the privilege of meeting George, Glenn, Danny, Mark and Gerald at channel 16 in Greenville, SC when they were there one night some years ago.
Am longing to sing with George Younce and Pyne Glen in Heavenly Choir🙏🙏 The wedding music🔥🔥
Great song & video. Enjoy very much. Miss Glen & George. 5 stars & many more. Thank you for posting.

Lot of people didn't know George 's was sick with kidneys disease while doing this. Was the reason they stopped traveling.
