Sometimes it pays being small - LOL! I'm 5'2" and on the 2016 the seat stays up and gives me just enough clearance to get me in there. A head lamp was helpful! Thanks!

Thanks, I need to remove the seat because I took off the driver “backrest” to give me a little more room and now I need to have the padding increased a little and a new two-tone cover. 5000 baht on Theprasit Rd in Pattaya

I was just going to post the same comment as Eric below. You dont have to remove the seat. You can just prop the seat open with the stick and then remove the plastic cover over the battery and take the battery or attach your charger cables. If you remove the battery, lift by the nylon strap provided. But thanks anyway!
I'm going to have to check that out again. I could have sworn the only way was to remove the seat. But if that's the reality then I need to make an update video. Worst case is there's a video for removing the seat for any other reason! Cheers!
@@zooskifilms Lol....the 1st time I followed your instructions. But I had to get back again in bc I didnt screw the battery cable tight and I realized that I could just remove the battery cover! But I do appreciate your clear video and generosity in sharing on youtube!
While taking out the seat strut, it dropped down below. What is the removal process for the storage tub?

my new seat does not use that big front metal plate on the hard plastic seat ! should be interesting on a new seat.

If the Honda Forza battery were completely dead or it was out for the winter, how would you open the electric latch's seat or compartments, maybe you should keep the seat open.
CACTUS48 - I thought the latch was mechanical, but good question. I'll test it out.
Hi, I was looking at the Online Parts, the left glove box, fuel door and seat latches are all cable releases.
you dont take it off like that lol you just remove the 2 nuts under that flastic cover is less work
Thanks for the comment, made a new video showing that. I think I showed the seat removal because it's much easier to work on battery section with it off. But the seat doesn't stay open any longer, so that's a good reason to NOT remove it!
To fix the problem of the seat not staying up, I use a boat-hatch support spring: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004XAE4B4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Works perfectly for me. :-)

very ez to remove battery with 3 screws one on the bottom; don't need to remove seat but I need to remove the seat for a new one. I added extra cables alreay; battery dead; ez.
@ed.Thai. Hansen - Yes, I also realized that and made a Part 2 video to this one. Much easier to just remove the three screws!
sure not ezs for battery access but better than some ohters. I need to replace the seat with a new flat seat to get longer leg room !! bad design to begin with.
@ed.Thai. Hansen - My seat won't stay up on it's hinge any longer. It's a real pain. Probably a very delicate adjustment needed, or a stronger shock lifter needed. Good luck with the new seat!
I remove the battery without removing the saddle. Ok is not a fast work but removing the saddle just to reach the battery seat is boring.
